My SMV's are easily removable. The one the B26TLB has been removed permanently. It was in the way of getting on and off of the backhoe position. Both tractors are loaded backwards on the trailers and the truck has a cap on it, so the SMV sign is hard to see. Jon

For my B26TLB, with about a 4ft ramp length, I use my oil change ramps under the end of the trailer ramp. Shallows it up enough to load the backhoe backwards up the ramps. Oil change ramps consist of 2 layers of 2x material and a piece of 3/4" plywood underneath. Jon

Ok, tips from Northern Michigan. Sawmill is resting in the storage barn for the winter here. I can move it to the sawing area when needed. I mill in nice weather, no rain. Sawdust pile behind the mill is cleaned up as needed and placed over the bank or on paths. (Same with planer off cast)...

I have two different Carhartt coveralls. One has red quilted lining and the other is black quilted. Also have them in bib overalls. Black lining is warmer than the red. These were bought years ago, not sure if they are still avavilable. Jon

If you keep it manual, keep an eye on the pin used to angle it. Mine kept getting harder to pull out and readjust the angle. Finally noticed the bottom end bent a bit so I ground the bump off. Works ok for now, and a replacement is on the parts list next time at the dealer. Jon

For toenailing, cut a spacer block to go between new stud and the prior one. Then drive your toenails on side of stud opposite of spacer block. Remove spacer block, and toenail that side of stud. Do bottom of stud first, then top of stud. Jon

A trick I was told for tipping up floor built walls when ceiling and floor in place and no room to tip. Nail additional top plate in place on the ceiling. Build wall to 1 1/2" shorter height. Tip up, slide under extra top plate, level and secure top and bottom. Jon
