Dirt Moving Diggin' a pond with my CK20s

Thanks Gary, man I wish I had a bigger tractor like yours, I'd like to start "haying" but I might have to upgrade first. You definitely have alot more rocks than I do, but I think it's just because this used to be farm land, and they already removed most of the rocks. I agree with you on the...

Looking to start growing & harvesting Hay - with a Compact Tractor. Advice please

Re: Looking to start growing & harvesting Hay - with a Compact Tractor. Advice please Here is a pic of one of the fields, approx 3-4 acres inside of the tree lines. I was told that it was used for farming "Winter Wheat" back in the day, but I never verified that. The edges of the field have...

Looking to start growing & harvesting Hay - with a Compact Tractor. Advice please

Okay, first off... don't laugh at my little 23 HP compact tractor! She's done everything I've asked her to so far... but that is mostly related to Loader work and digging holes with the bucket & auger. Just kidding... I know she ain't a big farm rig. Anyhow, we have up to 6...

Dirt Moving Diggin' a pond with my CK20s

Well, we just had a "January Thaw" and melted all our snow, in addition to a few inches of rain. All in all, the pond is almost 1/3 full. The "deep" end in the picture is already 4 feet deep, so there's another 4-5 feet to go up in the deep end. Maybe it'll even be full by the end of Spring?

Good Price on Filters/Fluids from Kioti dealer. Is aftermarket better, cheaper, etc?

Picked up the necessary items for my 50HR service today (though I'm closer to the 100HR mark than 50 :( ). The prices seemed pretty competitive, considering they're factory parts from the dealer. Fuel Filter - 5.00 Oil Filter - 10.00 Hydraulic Filter - 22.00 HST Filter - 16.00 1 gal 15w-40 -...

QUESTION: ck20s-HST... Finish mower, what size is appropriate?

... Can it handle a 72" or do I need to stick with a 60" ? Do you guys mow in high or low? I've never pulled a finish mower before, as I've been using my 72 front mower... however, that is in the shop, and may need more attention than I'm willing to spend. Used finish mowers are running at...

QUESTION: ck20 - how strong & capable is the Kioti Backhoe?

I don't remember the specific model number for the Kioti Backhoe that fits on the ck20... but how strong is that backhoe? I have a bunch of large stumps that I need to take out, and a lifetime's worth of other projects that I could use it for. IS it strong enough to remove large stumps...

Need help - Ford CM272 commercial mower overheating

Ok, I have a mid 90's (I believe) Ford CM272, with a Shibauru 27 horse engine. Here's what happened: about 2 weeks ago, I notice that the mower is getting hot and the coolant bubbles over out of the radiator relief hose. I flushed & changed the coolant this spring and have only put about...

    Got the tractor stuck...

... Yesterday while leveling an area for a chicken Coop. The ground is pretty low here and it holds water, so I'm digging down a bit to set posts, then I'll bring some aggregate in to bring the level back up before I put the dirt back in. I had to leave it for the night & have my buddy give...

DIY - Boom / Lift pole (with pics) for around $100

Just finished this earlier today. My inspiration came from when I bought my tractor and my used Box-Blade... the BB was sitting in their yard, in the middle of a pile of BB's - they used one of their yard tractors with a front boom to pick mine out of the pile and carry it over to my trailer...

Uh Oh, potential problem already on my CK20S at 17.5 hrs

Just noticed an oil leak yesterday, coming from somewhere to the left of the clutch, behind the cover beneath the steering column. It's a slow drip, only while running, but I'm worried about how long it's (potentially) been there. My fluid levels are fine (on the 2 dip sticks) and there are no...

NEW OWNER - Pics, and a few Q's

Hello - new member and 1st post to the Forum. I shopped around for several months and finally settled on the CK20S (HST). Comparing it to the other "main name-brand" tractors, this seemed like the best value and "bang for my buck" tractor out there. I just got it last week from Van Paemel's...
