    XR4150H Engine Failure

JCoastie I think its normal for the gauge to reset immediately after starting on the LS240. Mine has done this since day 1.

    Banning a member

If you outright ban someone what's to prevent him from joining back up under a different name and profile? If you put the person on ignore or bloc him then you don't have to put up with his BS. I know there are some on here that intentionally hijack threads and continually throw threads off...

    Clear cutting half arsed, why?

He may be planning to plant pine trees, I don't know about today but several years ago I had 3,000 pines planted by a forestry service (10 Latinos 1 1/2 days) for less than $300. Then again he may just let nature take its course and 15/20 years it will grow back.

Got asked to bid a very unusual project

I am no engineer so this is a very unprofessional thought. Tie a small but wide boat off from both sides to keep the boat centered, bow facing upstream and working off the back of the boat use timber claw hook on a winch and winch them back to shore you would need a floating throw line (sky...

What did you do on or to your LS Tractor today?

Snowing here in northern MS. Yesterday I installed a 6" PTO extension to make up for the Pat's quick hitch and make it easier to connect and release from the PTO.

Racing the weather for a <$600 "garage"

When my 2nd cover wore out I decided to upgrade to a metal roof. I purchased the material from a local metal fabricator for less than a big box store. Total for all material was around $350. The blue tarp area is now a 20ftX8X7 attached covered area for lawn mower and other stuff.

    Well… that was stupid…

After crushing the end of my finger my wife was driving me to the hospital and I made the comment "this is really starting to hurt". Her comment was "you think that hurts you should try having a baby".

    Rear Ballast Weight DIY Build

I was planning to add ballast more to prevent roll over, I seldom have much weight in the FEL but don't like the tipsy feeling I get on a shallow side hill. Now I'm not sure if I have the right idea or is it the same principal.

A better way to kill moles and gophers?

I used a trap to catch squirrels and on occasion would catch a skunk. I would through an old blanket over the cage, take it to the driveway and run a vacuum hose from my truck exhaust under the cage, skunk would take a few minutes to fall asleep and for some reason never wake up! 2004 Chev p/u.

Working toward refund from TMY, hoping to move to LS...question on which HP and any concerns about your MT series

I have an LS MT250, 2 1/2 years with 178 hrs.and very satisfied with it. You have already found that dealer support is a make it or break it decision, my dealer is only 25 miles down the road and easy to work with. If there was not a local (under 50 miles) LS dealer I would have made a...

"5030", I don,t understand your post. I am not whining and asked a simple question your response is certainly no help so why waste your time? No one twisted my arm to purchase the tractor and I am very satisfied it.

    Regen delete kit

My LS MT240HE goes into regen every 12 hours and that's keeping the throttle above 2200 rpm. After reading about others with regen problems I suspect mine my be stretched out by going with a higher temperature thermostat. Anyone know a higher temperature substitute? When it does go into regen...

Stump Bucket For JD 3038E?? Suggestions?

I have a Titan stump bucket. So far it has worked on old dead pine stumps 10 to 25 inches. it just pops them out of the ground in big chunks. I removed several this afternoon. The only draw back is on live or stumps around one year old makes a large hole and a lot more effort even a 10" hard...

What is some of your Pet Peeve's

Taking a week or more for a DR appointment, they ask you to arrive 30 min early, you wait in the waiting room for 1 to 1.5 hours, finally ushered to a little exam room and wait for another hour, nurse comes in for blood pressure, weight, height, why do you want to see the DR?. If you lucky 30...

    storing bucket

The contraption the bucket sits on is an architect table/stand. I like bucket where it is however, I was told the hydraulic cylinders should always be stored closed to protect the stainless steel, that would leave my bucket straight up and full of water every time it rains. The tractor is...

    Veteran Appreciation Thread

Early on the CIA was involved in Vietnam. Mostly Green Berets and Air Commandos the GB were winning hearts and minds and the AF was flying modified T-6 Texans, T-28's and later B26's to support the GB. The only proof I have of being in Vietnam is a US Passport with a Vietnam entry visa stamp...

    Tractor battery issue

New battery and everything you can think of still checks OK! Exact same thing on a friends JD. I suggested he check the ignition/glow plug switch, a few days later he said "problem solved". He didn't know how to check the switch so he replaced it for $45 and it has been working ever since...

Harbor Freight Titanium 125 Flux Core Welder

I have the same welder and surprised at how well it welds. I saw a guy on YouTube use the HF welder on sheet metal, what he did was turn it "up" on the highest setting and just touched the metal for less than a second and did not blow through. I haven't had a reason to try that but it worked for...

Hitch ball / coupler near disaster

I had this problem many times with an Airstream trailer. The answer was to put the truck in neutral when the ball would not release and 99% of the time it would pop loose. Any incline forward or reverse will add enough pressure to lock the ball to the trailer.

What did you do on or to your LS Tractor today?

I'm new here, I haven't figured out how to show any details on the left. I have a 2021 LS 240MTE. I have been having trouble opening the hood, you have to push down "hard" and press in the release button "hard" wiggle it and hope it pops up. Arthritis in my left thumb does not help. Today I...
