All I can say is that's one he!! of a way to make a cylinder. I had a seal for the piston. McMasterCarr may have one for the shaft. I'm guessing that wire has to come from MTD. This one isn't long enough to go all the way around. I'll be test fitting it before it goes back together. Jim

Thanks, I never would have seen that. I didn't find any sort of a hole for a lock wire yet, any more suggestions? I spun the gland nut all the way around a couple times and could only see a smooth surface. Couldn't even tell if it was turning. Jim

I just got one of these. Needs new seals in the hydraulic cylinder, but when I turn the big nut it doesn't come out. Anyone ever had one of these apart? Jim
