Provide the sprayer with a dedicated battery, in a box, attached to the rear of the machine. Perhaps the fender or ROPS. Charge the battery before use. Or, install a cigarette lighter port, change the wiring on the sprayer to a plug, and just make it super easy.

A pine straw rake is going to be the easiest on the land, it's the lightest in both weight and impact on the ground. I think if you pick one up and practice a bit you'll be happy with the results.

I think the TYM T4820 would be the Branson equivalent to the T474. I'm no expert, however. It may be the T4815. These would be the 4820 and 4815 under the old Branson marque.

Branson was purchased by TYM, so you'll see them at TYM dealers under the TYM name these days.

I looked it up, in Australia you can still purchase a brand new L-40, and that's pretty awesome; yeah they're dated, but they're also rock solid. Of course, so is the DK-10. You're in an enviable position.

I share that same thought; the only thing keeping me from passing mowing off to my 13 year old is pure selfishness. It's relaxation for me, but soon enough I'll give that up. Already told him this summer I'll be teaching him how to use the Kioti.

As long as it's only a few grand I would argue it's worth it. At worst, at worst, it's worth more than it's weight in gold on the open market and you would more than recoup your cost selling it. It's a pre-emissions Kubota, this tractor has a lot of fans.

I'll say this, the cut seems pretty nice, and that boy looks to be loving all the experience he is gaining. I think your arrangement with him and his family has been very beneficial to you both.

An old dealer around here sells both Massey Ferguson and Yanmar, so two very good brands, and the salesman that's been there as far back as my conscious memory likes to refer to the cab Yanmar units as space age. He feels that they're that far ahead in creature comforts.

The Massey 18M and 28M series machines are really nice, the layout and comfort of the cabs is possibly the best in their class.

Awesome! Restrictors are a must with a hydraulic top link, and perhaps side links too, but I've never had one of those.

If you want to step up in size, go for the NS over the NX. The NX is being discontinued and has the potential for electrical gremlins that the NS doesn't.

It's a shame your otherwise great experience with the tractor has been marred by a subpar dealer and a frustrating parts network.

In daylight I find that my view is fine with the loader on; at night, however, the loader impeded the headlights and can be an issue.

Your bucket comes standard, and would be the attachment to have on if you ever remove the loader itself. That said, you're now open to a whole world of grapples; different styles, different brands, it's your choice. There are even mechanical grapples, but those aren't recommended for use with...

The lower control arm is a good place to hook to. I wouldn't get a running start, it can break, but it's one of the sturdiest points to a modern automobile. This is where a tow truck would winch and tie down to.

They're rather large to have a mid-mount. I loved mowing with my Deere 1025R, and if I could have, I'd have it as a dedicated mower. Subcompacts are great mowers, just for their comfort and size.

This is what I do; I run it under the box blade and attach it to drawbar.

Are you sure you want to go open station on a dedicated mowing machine? I understand the appeal of simplicity for sure, but cabs have filters and climate control.

The only downside to the Bobcat machines is that they're equipped with their own loaders and backhoes, and the FL7 loader can't compare to the Kioti KL4030.

Awesome to hear! The RX is well out of my wheelhouse, as it's a big machine. That said, they had an RX on the lot when I purchased my CK and I was really impressed with the ergonomics. Honestly, that's one thing that drew me to my CK; Kioti understands basic ergonomics.

I mean, it is just a garden tractor, a 1025R will outwork it all day. It's still a piece of history, and a machine some folks have a soft spot for.

I've noticed Toyota and Lexus EV's making noise that sounds similar to hydrostatic whine. I absolutely hate it, it drives me nuts. What is causing that, where a Tesla or a Ford is much quieter.

So there is a saying that basically guarantees your implement and tractor will work well together, and that's "5 pto horsepower for every foot of width." That said, it's not a rule, and it varies by situation. With something like a tiller, depending on your land, you should be fine just to slow...
