I've got a good friend with an 87? Ford 1520. 3 times in the last 2 weeks he has blown the gasket rubber out of the hydraulic filter, and the filter has been replaced twice. I'm a 30+ yr mechanic and I'm betting there is some kind of restriction or stuck bypass but I have not gotten a manual yet...
