The price was $288.00 for a JD 870 compact tractor alternator. I opened the box and it said "re-manufactured". I bought this directly for Deere and had it shipped. I thought I was getting a new one for that price. Are all alternators rebuilt today? Thanks.

Notice my buddies fairly new JD 348 STRUGGLES in the big windrows with tall grass. He fought plugging and the tall grass getting wrapped around the auger on the knifes end. I could SMELL slipping belts and he broke some flywheel sheer bolts. Is this typical of auger balers or maybe his knives...

I think I read here?? or somewhere it should be 10 lb pull measure with fish scale....well did just that and my tension measured not even one pound...It bales fine there but I increased to 6-7 lbs... 10 lbs seem like a very hard pull. Should it be this hard?? thanks

Currently been cutting all my hay with a JD sickle mower...been thinking of this haybine....my pastures are not the smoothest...how does the cutter bar work on these haybines...are they stationary or float somehow? can they scalp?

I'm looking at a New Holland haybine...problem for me I have no rear hydralic hook up ports. I do have a loader with the quick disconnects. Could I use like the bucket "curl" port to hook the haybine hydralics?...thanks

This field I was baling during the summer has some very fine stemmed staulks-leaf grass in the middle of the field. The outside part of the field is more smooth brome and much thicker staulk and leaf. When the baler goes from the thicker brome down into the very fine grass it might miss a bale...

The mower is a JD 350 just sold my JD No. 39 pittman. Need hints on setting the sickle mower up to cut that fine, thick sub-irrigated grass that plugs it. What knifes to use or what else etc should I be doing to get it to cut fine thick grass. Thanks!
