4820, no grease zerks on tie rods?

Greasing my 4820ch for first time. My tie rods have no zerks??? Also couldn't find the 2 zerks that are on the inside of the rear tires. All zerks on tractor were fairly tight, all zerks on loader were loose!

    Smaller hydraulic filter

When do you replace the smaller hydraulic filter? I know the oil and hydro-static filter get replaced at 50 hours, but I can't find any info on the smaller filter. In my case the filter in questions is TA00043153C.

Bolt on cutting edge on bucket

Those TYM/Branson buckets seem kind of light duty. Brand new bucket is already drilled for cutting edge from factory. Is bolt on cutting edge a must have on these?

    Got a muffler!

Got a muffler in case my original muffler gets plugged, which I'm hearing happens a lot in cold temperature use. Since tractor will be used primarily for snow removal, I like having a replacement, so I can still use tractor while original muffler is getting cleaned. This is direct bolt on...

    Modified my HST pedals today

Modified my HST pedals today, they were too far apart, so I cut the bottom plate on the forward pedal and drilled new hole, and twisted the reverse pedal. Decided not to mess with spring as that can cause not returning to neutral issues.

Just found out people are paying $30K for L2502

I love Kubota, but damn! $30K for economy L series with 25hp??? Kubota is pricing themselves out of the market. I just picked this BRAND NEW, 48hp, 7,000lbs with loader and ballast CAB tractor, with 2,700lbs loader lift capacity and 6 year warranty for $29,500!

4820CH was delivered today! First impressions.

Put couple of hours on the new machine today to get a feel of it. 1. If you only have one tractor, don't get a cab! I had to have the A/C on all the time and the weather was gorgeous outside. Hated it. I'm sure I would like the heat once winter is here. 2. Hydro pedals are awful. Very hard to...

Went to get a T494 but ended up getting 4820CH

Dealers in my area are getting more aggressive on pricing, and the Branson models are becoming cheaper than TYM models. The T494 was $32,500 and I went to my local dealer to get one, but was offered 4820CH for $29,500. These models are pretty much identical, so I took the deal on the 4820CH. My...

Buying Advice  Is Kukje/TYM only mechanical diesel available today?

In the market for a cab tractor in the 40+ hp range that can lift over 2,000 pounds with the loader. I am partial to Kubota as my L3700SU has proven un-desctructible, however new Kubota cab tractors are stupid expensive - $45k+. Was looking at TYM because of their Yanmar offerings, and then...

    LOW ON HYDRAULIC FLUID

Hooked up new implement with large empty hydraulic hoses a month ago and apparently the fluid that filled the hoses emptied the tractor. :) I put tractor on high gear today and floored the forward pedal, it was going good, but every 50 or so feet, it will bog down and almost stop. It will do it...

    Screwed up big time :mad

Creek bottom seemed solid at first, but it became soft very quick. Tried to get out with loader, but everything ahead of me was soft too. Air box got too close to water, so I shut her down after I raised loader and counterweight. I had hard time sleeping last night, as I was very angry @ myself...

4.5 ratio PTO generator gear box

I have asked several companies to import these, as I don't want to run my tractor @ PTO speed to run a small PTO generator, just for my house and one company listened. 4.5 ratio means, your PTO has to spin only @ 400rpm to get needed 1,800rpm to generator, which translates to fuel savings and...

    Installing cruise on L3700SU

Just about done, and have a question. There is a line connecting the brake pedals to the cruise, so when you press the brake, it shuts off the cruise control. I have heard of people using the brakes when the cruise is on to make fast turns, how is that done when my kit is designed to shut off...

    Thinking of a snow bucket

How efficient are snow buckets? How big should I go for my L3700SU, with 1,100lbs counter weight, my dealer has 96" bucket for under $800. I am currently pushing 8 foot blade, and the tractor handles it well, just pushed snow this morning, about 20 inches and cleared 200 foot driveway and...

Has anybody installed a cruise on L3700 or similar?

Now that these are old models, I can buy a cruise kit pretty cheap. I am being offered one for $125. How hard it is to install it? If its a bear, I probably won't buy the kit.

    Kubota L3700 won't start

The tractor has only 33 hours, bough new in 2011. I was cutting grass with my 72" cutter and noticed when grass is dense the RPMs would drop, the tractor has lost power and was sputtering. In few minutes, didn't have power to spin the cutter again, so I drove it back to the garage. I figured...

L3700SU pushing show with 8 foot blade!

When I originally put this setup together, I thought the L3700SU is not big enough to push 8 foot blade, guess what, I was wrong. Tractor is totally stock, R4 tires, no extra weights! Don't even have to shift in low, didn't use the locking diff either! It is unstoppable, it even pushes the small...

    Would you do 50hr service @ 10hrs?

I bought my tractor in September 2011, new with 1hr on the clock. I am using it a lot less than I first expected. Last 2 winters were weak and snowfall was negligent, plus clearing the field puts very little time on the clock. Anyhow. I have owned it about one and a half years now, and there...

    Best bang for under $20K

Finally decided to pull the trigger on a tractor. This will be my first tractor. Since everybody I know owns a Kubota and swears by them, I didn't even look at other brands. I've looked for a used one for a while, but it seems that everybody asks arm and a leg for their 10 years old Kubota. It...
