62C or 54C Mower Deck Spindle Overhaul

I decided I better replace the 6204 open deep groove bearings in my X495 deck. 1800hrs before needing bearings is pretty darn impressive. I found some Nachi Japanese made bearings on eBay for half the cost of the Koyo Chinese versions JD sells. I had to order the seal kits (each comes with 2...

Need a 3pt hitch for an X495 for moving boat

I have seen where some guys mount a ball hitch on a 3pt hitch. Anyone have advise on where to get one of these? I have a 24ft boat I have to squeeze into a tight space and moving it with the tractor will be much easier than with my truck.

Consumer Reports Rates 2000 Series #1

Not sure why they pitted a heavy duty garden tractor against the box store lawn tractors, but they did; and shocker it beat them all.

    Safety Nanny Shutoff

I figured out how to disable the govt mandated nanny hassles on my GT2500 HD series tractor. To disable the seat nanny you can simply unplug it under the seat. Put electrical tape over the plug to avoid a short if you stick crap under the seat. The reverse nanny that randomly shuts down the PTO...
