I would like to get a box blade for my 2138, but I don't want to go through the extra expense of a three point hitch. Won't it just hook up to the hitch hole? I know I won't be able to lift it without the 3pt hitch, but I can just haul it where I need it with the wagon and then use it there.

I have seen many posts on the backfire on the Kohlers. What I do with mine is let it idle for 5-10 seconds and pull the choke and no backfire. Is that ok, I mean I am not messing anything up am I? Just don't forget to turn off the key or the hour meter keeps going!
