Hello all! My BX24's PTOs stopped working. I rarely used them, and it started out as being slow to start turning, but now they don't work at all. Any idea what the issue may be?
My PTO has become "Iffy" on engagement. Sometimes it will engage, sometimes it won't. This evening, it wouldn't engage, so I attempted to clear any debris that might be interfering with the lever.
It finally engaged, but was weak. I was using a PHD, and it was like the power was weak (touch the...
Picked up a like new RCK60B-23BX mowing deck for my BX24 today, but it's missing the back half of the drive shaft. I've searched all over the net for the part number, assuming that the shaft is only sold as a complete unit. Does anybody have a part number? Also needing instructions for mounting...
I'm looking at a package deal which includes a 60" Kubota mowing deck that has been used on a 2003(?) 2320...I have no use for the deck, but the seller will only sell as a package. It's supposed to have new blades. I can't afford this package unless I can find someone who will buy the deck, I...
I've cut a terrace/path across my front bank, and I'm trying to decide what to use as a base for the path. I'd love to use brick pavers, but this would blow my budget, and really wouldn't "fit" since I'm trying to keep a rustic look.
I'll be using rocks that I've collected from my property to...
She seems to be quieter now...even though I used UDT rather than super UDT. The factory must put the filters on with an impact wrench!
She sat very still during the entire service, so I gave her a bath. <G> Now it's time to get back to work.
Can't find my owners manual (must be at work) need help locating the HST drain plug and filter screen on my BX24. There's alot of look-alikes under there!
Been awhile since I've posted anything, but I've been busy spreading 15 dumptruck loads of fill dirt in an effort to fill a gully, and level out an area that was previously unusable. The BX has shined throughout the process! I buried 80' of 18" plastic culvert, and although the loads of dirt did...
I found a recipe for homemade vegetation killer online...vinegar, salt, and dish soap. Has anyone tried this?
I have a large area that has been taken over by briars, vines, and poison ivy, there are very mature trees within the area, is it safe for the trees if I spray near or around them?
Thanks!
Off topic I know, but I need a bigger chainsaw. I have a Husky model 51 (maybe 40cc), 18" bar, but I have alot of 24"+ diameter oak to saw up. Any recommendations for a Husky model that will be up to the task?
Snal~
I need a trailer, I'd rather build one since metal work is my trade. But I'd like to get some input on size. It'll be used mostly for hauling wood and such, out of some pretty tight, unlevel areas, and maybe a few scoops of mulch now and again. I'm thinking that I should build it as a dumper...
Man! The thumb nearly doubles the usefullness of the BH! I kinda got carried away, lifting logs and stumps that were within the load range of the BH, but a bit much even with a full bucket of clay up front. Especially when backing up to drop the log or stump....dang I can't "ease" off on the...
The left (FEL) cylinder is leaking on my new BX24, leaks enough in a week to leave a stain on the garage floor (bucket down, pressure off) is this pretty normal?...or should I return for warranty service?
My BX24 amazes me with it's power, but I did have an issue this weekend, where I was fast dragging a scrape blade "up" my driveway to put the finishing touch on. I had the BX in high range, near full throttle (still in break-in mode) and fast forward motion, floating the scrape blade (turned...
Local implement guy has these for $375 incl. 9" or 12" auger. Looks like a good price....Is there anything specific that I need to check to make sure It'll fit my BX24?
Thanks!
Well...it started with snow! Little accumulation, but it was pouring down off and on. I grubbed my first stump! 9" sweet gum...and I had to tackle it uphill, downhill, and sideways.
I moved a bunch of dirt, using the BH, FEL, and rear blade. I'm making a driveway to the backside of my garage. I...
Saturday is the big day. I have a few trees cut down, bigger ones (6-10" trunks) I left 4' tall...smaller ones are short stumps which should come up easily. I'll be level left to right, but the incline is probably 10 degrees +. Working from the lower side with the backhoe makes sense to me for...
I was once again on the backhoe tonight. With 4 hrs on the clock the engine suddenly went to idle. I throttled back up and again it returned to idle as I let off the lever. I pulled the cover and found the double nut (or bolt and nut) to be at least finger tight, so a grabbed a 1/2" wrench and...
You\'d never know this is my 1st tractor....
Unless you watched me operate it! I played with the backhoe a bit this evening...wife said it looked like a one-armed puppeteer with parkinson's disease...hey...it dug dirt...and pretty close to where I wanted it to! That rock wall needed to come...
I found the wires that some have used for ROPS mounted lights...the ones directly above the rear PTO....but I also found 2 plugs underneath the seat that just seem to dead end into a plastic block. I assume these are for some sort of option, but it would be easier to run my work light wiring to...
Not being able to tear myself away from my newly delivered BX...I decided to give her a good once over. Everything underneath looked to be tucked up nicely out of the way, except the tranny filter looks vulnerable. Is there any need to fab a full plate, or just something to protect the filter...
It\'s Home!
My BX24 was delivered this afternoon! The delivery dude proceeded to catch the ROPS on the bottom of my garage door! Partially my fault...I'd measured it, and knew it was too low to clear the ROPS...but it was pooring the rain, and I simply "forgot".
It did stop raining for a bit...
With my BX24 being delivered monday, and me being a first time diesel, first time tractor owner, can you guys suggest any items that I should keep on hand? Fluids, filters, shear pins, ect.
I've decided on the BX24, and there are 2 dealers within 28 miles of me. One has quoted 15k even plus tax, the other quotes 15.9k plus tax. I see that you guys seem to stress the importance of a "good" dealer...what criteria do you use to determine this.
I'm getting prices on compact tractors...namely the Orange BX24, and the Green 2520.
Green is coming up 7k higher than the orange...am I comparing apples to grapefruits?
BX24 w/standard FEL and backhoe $15,963
2520 w/46BH and 200cx $22,846
Hi all! I'm new to tractors, but I'm looking for something to maintain my 800' driveway, move a little dirt from time to time, dig for waterlines/power lines, something that will handle a 42-48" bush hog, and prepare my dad's 1/2 acre garden. My work needs will be on less than level ground, so...
