A friend has a MF 135 diesel (perkins) that uses oil (couple quarts a day). He wants to rebuild. A kit at the local parts house is about $400. Is this a good price? Is there a discount parts house online that can save a few bucks? Any words of wisdom about this rebuild.

I just bought a JD 750 with 4000 hours, it was used to cut grass with a belly mower. Is there anything I need to be aware of as far as problems? I plan on using it to run a bush hog and thats about it. It looks pretty good and mechanicals seem good. Benahs
