    MTD parts mower

My neighbor two doors down has a guy who does all kind of jobs for him around his house and yard. I have been doing some tractor work for him and yesterday he gave me a riding lawn mower. It looks to be in good shape but apparently someone took off every pat that sits where the shifters are...

    Wood you cut this?

I know that many of you don't get into the sawmill thing, but here is a cut off from a bone of a log that was still to heavy for my loader. The question is do you think the 9 foot cut off is worth sawing on the mill?

started to build a fire pit to burn the slabs and cutoffs from my sawmill. I have filed for both a town and state permit, that will let me burn at will. Just a simple call to the fire dept to check on conditions. In this first picture two apple trees have been cut to give a start.

    FEL

for those who don't read the kioti thread here is a picture of the FEL partly assembled to my 3054. The skid plates from Payeur for the forestry package had to be removed for the FEL mounts so will have to rework, and as you can see the FOPS will need a little custom attention. I was able to...

    fel

finally stated to install the FEL, I had to disconnect the trailer then wedge the tractor to get the grapple to reach the front of the tractor, but it worked. Seems like I have to rework all of the skid plates that Payeur installed, because they interfered with the front and mid mounts. As you...

    sawmill shot

Here is a good example of what not to do with lumber that needs edging from the outside of logs processed on a woodmizer mill. Ordinarily I would put these flitches(lumber with bark on one or both edges) onto the sawmill loader arms and trim them after cutting each log. This weekend I wanted...

thought I would post a picture of the 3054 with a load on the forwarder. this fine tractor pulled this load home, and up the muddy hill out of the woods. I did have to unload the two 18 foot logs from the top to have enough traction. At the top of the hill I winched them up to the tractor and...

    time for a funny one

way back when i was so much younger, i deceided that closing off the flue to a fire place would provide so much more heat. in a not so wise engineering decision, i marveled at the amount of heat delivered as the newspaper i used to partially block the flue turned brown and then exploded into a...
