This starts like all good stories… someone borrowed my tractor. They said it sparked, smoked and stopped running. When I got there it wouldn’t turn over only a starter click. Battery voltage 12.5V. Brief inspection looks like the hot terminal on the starter shorted and melted the rubber...
Just when I got it running great ... torque converter won't engage. Not forward or reverse. I have replaced transmission fluid, fuse OK for shuttle lever. There's quite a bit of rodent-chewed wiring. Possibilities? Shuttle relay, diode, what else? Transmission lockout buttons have never worked...
