We tried out this log splitter yesterday. It was much too slow. It was a terrible choice. And the durability is questionable. I doubt it would split more than a few cords of wood without completely dying. I'm trying to convince my wife to let us get a good one. You can see pictures of the...
I have a John Deere 4210 Tractor. I have some grease fittings (they look like little nipples) that will not accept grease from my grease gun. I guess the grease fittings are clogged but am not certain. How do I fix this? I need to get grease to some of my moving parts.
Thanks,
Obed
My wife and I live in a camper. We have lived in a camper for most of the past 12 years. We would like to live in a house. I will share in this thread our quest to live in a house like normal people.

I have a John Deere 47 Backhoe with a 9" bucket. This bucket is too small for any serious digging. It doesn't hold enough to move much dirt.
Removing a tree
I have 2 questions.

We hired an electrician to put up a 16 ft electric pole to provide power for a camper. Here's the pole he put up. I had my wife call him to find out if he set the pole in concrete. Unfortunately he didn't. Also, the pole was only set 2 ft in the ground; that's not very deep for a 16 ft pole...

Look at the tree down the road on the right side. It must go! The stump must also be removed so I can straighten out the road.
The trouble is, I don't know how to remove it. What's the best way to remove it?
Please don't tell me to climb up this tree and cut the trunk down piece by piece...
I paid $325 for a rusty 6’ box blade for my 28 HP tractor at a big farm equipment auction a few weeks ago. I’ve been itching to use it and finally got to use it this weekend. This was my first attempt at using a box blade. I admit I had no idea what I was doing and after doing this project, I...
I need to put in a 16' farm gate at the entrance to our property. I only have 1 foot of dirt before I hit what I'm assuming is a solid sandstone base. How do I dig a 3 foot deep hole in this stuff?
I can rent a 3PH post hole digger but they don't have rock augers available. I can rent a...
