    Kioti 551C at work video

YouTube - Kioti 551C feeding cattle on farm of Gerard Gallagher It's not a John Ford classic, but you get the idea :) I have a weight made up for the rear but so far don't need it. As I get further into the pit over the winter, the silage will be tighter requiring the use of the rear ballast...

    Question to 551C owners

At the rear left top corner on the exterior of my cab there are 2 wires with a connector for a beacon. My question is do any of you have a beacon fitted by a dealer and where internally was the switch fitted in the cab. This might point me to where I can install a switch and pick up the...

Those of you that saw my other post.... http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kioti-owning-operating/184397-urgent-has-kl1590-loader-problems.html ......are aware that I was interested in this tractor. I drove a 400mile round trip to view, and while it will suit many, not me. Bit too rusty...

    Dreaded XUV oil filter change

What words of wisdom do you lot have for removing this thing, took me an hour last weekend to do something that should have taken minutes. Was very very tight, first oil change. Chain type oil filter wrench I have kept slipping on it. As access is restricted, what wrench do you use? Thanks.

    850D update - unveiling soon

Y'all probably thought I had died or something, but I vastly underestimated the amount of time it would take to do the work to my new Gator which I got last Xmas. I vowed it would not go out the door until I was finished. It will be my main transport, and travelling office, on the farm. I work...

    Gator 850D brake guard M157685

Anyone know if the guard (above) fitted to the 2008 models to cover the handbrake disk, can be fitted to 2007 models? I was thinking of making a cover for this anyway. It would be handy if this was a simple bolt on job.

Does any ATV(Quad) have a proper rear differential?

In particular, Honda or Arctic cat. Honda do not have a proper rear differential. The rear axle is solid inhibiting tight turns. Gets worse when towing a heavy load, ATV does not want to turn. A proper rear differential, that could be locked when needed, would be ideal. Anyone?

XUV 850D - progress to date

I got the HD struts from the JD dealer last Mon evening, fitted them last night, plus an extra 1" of lift with spacers. This really levels out the Gator and it now has a nice stance, with the 26" Bearclaws fitted. The original struts barely had an inch of travel left with the unit sitting empty...

    XUV diesel belt replacement

Anyone done this? How about a step by step guide for the HPX/XUV diesel? Are they the same? Nothing in the handbook for this, just go to dealer for it, and I don't go to dealer unless I'm really really stuck. Thanks.

XUV850D glass cab door kit & heart failure

OK, strange title, but all will be revealed. Was at Local JD dealer yesterday evening to collect a JD cart for my little fella for Xmas. They told me a pallet of stuff had come in for your gator. They loaned me their flat bed trailer to take the stuff home. Overjoyed at this, when home, I...

Looking for good John Deere dealer east coast

Hi folks. I'm looking for a good John Deere dealer on the east coast, preferably within a few 100 miles of a shipping port. One that can build a fully loaded XUV850D and carefully put it in a crate for export to Ireland. Any recommendations? Thanks.

JD Europe replied on XUV availability

Received this from a high ranking company official. "John Deere will hopefully be launching the XUV 850D Gator in Europe. However, before this can happen the machine needs to be CE certified and homologated. This usually means that the machine requires significant changes from the US version...

    Ear protection

Coming from an ATV background to the side by side world, it seems that if one wants to go the cab route, some form of ear protection has to be explored. Anyone look into a pair of aviation style headsets that allow you to converse with a passenger (also wearing a set), and also have the option...

    Speedometer for XUV 850D

I sent this question to John Deere support: "I cannot find anywhere on your Gator sites an option to add a speedometer/gauge kit to the new XUV 850D. Has JD omitted this option from the new range? A speedometer is critical to some tasks such as spraying/fertiliser spreading etc. Is there a JD...

JD XUV 850D cab noise reduction kit

JD kit No: VGB10516 Anyone have this installed? Does it reduce the "boominess" inside the cab with all doors and windows closed? Cab is great, but it sure is darned noisy in there. It's like flying one of those old twin prop planes with the noise of the engines going in and out of synch. I'm...
