Instead of the cap coming off the end of the oil drain tube, the tube and cap are now coming loose from the crank case. This is on a John Deere GT275. Can the tube be welded to the crank case? Thanks.

I don't see a drain plug anywhere. The only way I can see to get fresh fluid in, other than to drop the base pan, is to remove the lower plug in the case, then remove the upper reservoir plug and continue to pour fresh fluid in until it comes out clean. The J. D. shop did not even show a filter...
