Hey guys, I have a old roper with a 16hp Briggs that will only run with the choke on. Runs fine but seems a bit under powered. It will run rough with choke at half, runs fine with choke fully on. When I turn the choke off the thing just dies. As always any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    Broken Bolt Extraction

Recently noticed the drawbar support on my tractor had a couple of bolts broken off inside the rear housing. I can not get in there to weld on to them so a extractor is my only option. its a 3/4" bolt so it should be fairly easy to work at, the problem is that its not a clean break, its all...

Anyone ever build anything like this?

I have several projects lined up for this summer that require pouring concrete in small areas. I just purchased a used drum mixer, and had thought about turning it into a 3ph mount but decided against that due to the hassle of having to maneuver a tractor everywhere I want to pour concrete (in...

How to hang 4X8 OSB on ceiling

I am currently working on insulating my garage and ran into a few minor issues already. I can't seem to find a way to install a 4x8 sheet of 7/16 osb on the ceiling by myself. Its not that its too heavy, its just awkward and hard to position. The obvious answer is to rent a drywall lift but I...

    Verastile 500

Anyone have any experience with the Versatile 500? I know enough to stay away from the "Triple Nickel" but havent heard much about the 500. It has a 8.3l Cummins (504ci) which puts out about 190hp. It isn't a huge 4x4 by any means but should be enough tractor for my needs (640 acres). I know...

    eye injury

so i was running cat5e in the new house and had it whip back and hit me in the eye. Turns out one of the strands cut a 'flap' into my pupil, right in the middle. Hurts like bastard every time I blink. Worst case scenario I will have a scar which result in a blurry spot in the middle of my right...
