Howdy, Can I replace the rope type seals (?) on my OEM 1950 Case model DI with Lull front loader cylinder glands with V pack seals given they were the correct dimensions? Obviously the cylinders are dual action so the seals would have to be installed accordingly. I have not gotten any acceptable...

Ok, I looked thru the earlier posts but saw nothing to answer this question. Would it be acceptable to use a muliti weight engine oil (10W30) instead of the 1950 CASE manual's recomendation of "a good grade of SAE 30 " for summer and "SAE 10" for winter " ?
