I am trying to replace the fuel lift pump in my '71 135 diesel, but the fuel lines will not come out of the pump. There seems to be a hard rubber seal around the end of the lines. What is the trick I am missing? Do I need to hand a dead chicken over my shop door? Thanks for any help on this one.
