Im looking at buying a universal 350tdc and right now the 4x4 is not working. Ive searched and not found much about these tractors except they are a part of the long family of tractors. Any reason to stay away from one? Is this a common problem? Thanks

Im looking at buying a 1985 Massey 1020 diesel with a front end loader the buyer states the 4wd drive went out and he is not sure what happened. The price is 4000 obo, is this a common problem and is it an easy fix and what would be a decent price to offer for the tractor? Thanks in advance, Mike
