I've got a JD Sabre 2048 lawn tractor, with a bad hydrostatic trans. Is there a way to get this repaired/rebuilt for $300 to $400 or is that a pipe dream? I've checked the oil level and it's in spec - it's at 73mm down from the neck. I don't see where there are much other things to check -...
