    Multimeter malfunction

My Gardner Bender GDT-3200 multimeter AC voltage isn't working. All other functions work OK. When testing AC I get a display reading in the .385 - .393 range instead of the expected ~120v. I replaced the batteries with no help. Contacted GB, but they said submit a warranty card. It's 10 YO...

    Diggers

I have a small critter of some sort digging under the skirting on a pier supported addition. Don't know what it is for sure, hole is only a couple inches wide, too small for a groundhog or skunk. I've started burying chicken wire and fist size rocks to create a barrier, but not sure that will be...

    Re-purposing vinyl siding

Greetings. I have quite a pile of vinyl siding left over from an addition project. It can't be returned. I have one small garden shed that I can reside to use up some of it, but am really looking for useful ideas on reusing this stuff. I don't want to landfill it and there's no place locally...

    Vented Fuel Cap

My 3032E has sputtered and stalled the last couple of times I've run it. (temps below freezing). I could pull the fuel line between the tank to 1st filter and have no fuel flow. Before blowing back into the tank would restart the flow. I thought I had a piece of crud or ice in the tank that I...

Who do I ask for help?

My wife and I are around 70 , active and in fairly good health w/ good mobility, so far. We live in a rural setting in a 35 yo 1 ス story 3 br with the master suite in the loft. Wife's sewing/quilting crafts take ス of the walkout basement level. The house is warm and dry with no major...

    Rural Living Menu page

For the last couple of days when I load Rural Living, the menu page looks funny. All the items are there, just the wrong size and locations. Links to threads work fine. This is only on the menu page of R-L. The thread pages inside R-L are fine. The menu page on other forums (6+) I've tried...

    Locking Differential

In the manual it is mentioned that slightly depressing the brake pedal on the JD 3032E (and I would guess, other models) locks the differential preventing one rear tire from spinning and helping one out of slippery spots. Release the pedal and the differential goes back to normal operation...

    3032E FWD

If I raise the front wheels off the ground with the FEL, and engage the FWD and put it in gear (HST) should the front wheels be powered even if the back wheels are not moving? I suspect my fwd isn't working, but don't know how else to test it. Thanks Steve

    Bypassing FEL cylinder

One cylinder on the 305 FEL on my 3032E has developed a leak while lifting. I would like to remove the cylinder to get it repaired without disabling the entire tractor. Is there a way to bypass/plug the hydraulic lines to that cylinder to allow the remaining cylinder to support the loader...

    Why didn't they mention this?

Just as I was wiping up the drips from adding the engine oil to my 3032e after its first oil change, I noticed the locking tabs on the upper corners of the side panel. Gee, clever idea making the panel easily removable. Wish I'd have figgered it out before going through the gyrations...

    Loading tires 3032E

I know this has been discussed over and over, but obviously my 'search' skills are wanting and I can't find any of the discussions. I remember reading here of someone who had loaded the rear tires of his tractor by syphoning from a barrel into the tire, using a special valve that one would...

    3032E Oil Cooler

Noticed today a film of oil on the 'canister' on the left side of the tractor directly behind the FWD controls. The canister (looks like a spin on oil filter, but is painted black with no part numbers or logo) seems to be bolted to the xmission with a single line leading to or from the oil...

    3032E drop/lock valve

hi, When I 1st got my 3032E last fall I checked out all the knobs and levers to make sure they worked and to learn what they did. I remember tightening, by hand, the drop/lock valve to slow down the descent of the back blade. Now I can't budge the knob without getting a good grip with a pair...

    305 FEL bucket

When the bucket on my 305 loader (3032e) is tilted back it strikes the loader arms with a lot of force. It has begun to knock off paint from the loader arm where T end of the bucket cylinder strikes the welded on support gussets. I know that tractors are to be used and a little paint loss is...

    3032E HST operation

I'm a new owner of a JD 3032E with a couple of questions. I could find nothing in the owner's manual or the archives of TBN about them. This is my 1st tractor with HST. When I let off the go pedal, either forward or reverse, it feels like brakes are applied. This is more than just engine...
