Just ordered a new water pump kit form Hoye tractor for my YM 1700.
This Louisiana sun has been cooking!
What kind of difference should I expect from the pump verses old system?
Just wanted to share a pic of my tractor. Bought it May 2004.
Bought the tractor, a new 5' grader blade and a new 5' box blade.
Hour meter showed 581 hours for whatever that is worth.
need info.
Have a YM 1700 which I need a mower for. Do not need a finish mower.
Have 2.5 acres which only about 3/4 acre needs to be cut with the tractor.
What is a good mower to buy at a reasonable price considering it will sit there and look pretty most of the time.
I know a 4 ft. will do...
OK I finally put a water gauge on. The temp stayed between 190 and 210.
Most of the time while working it the temp was closer to the 210 mark.
Does this sound OK?
I cleaned the radiator and screen. Have not had it cleaned professionaly and have not changed the antifreeze to make sure it has...
OK I'm a preacher. Don't know much about tractors but I do have a YM 1700 with a messed up valve stem on a rear tire.
? is: Does the tire have to be broken down to replace the stem? If not can I fix it myself or is this a job for the tire man?
If it's a job for the tire man can a regular auto...
I have a YM1700. I guess about half of the time you change gears it wants to grind. The other half it shifts really smoothe.
Adjusted the clutch. Same results. Is this a sure sign of a clutch problem or is there something else I should be looking for. What about a dirty filter or something...
I have a YM1700. I'm just wondering how smoothe it should be running. This is my first tractor. It seems to shake a little.
Is that normal or should it be really smoothe?
Thanks
I have two places where water is just barely leaking out from the head gasket. Just a little dribble. Is there anything that will stop this or do I have to put on a new head gasket?
Is there any danger to me running the tractor until I get it fixed?
Thanks
Follow up on \"help on trailer size for Yanmar\"
Yea I made it back home with my new trailer. Boy am I glad I got the 16'. After putting the grader blade up front, then the tractor with the 4' box blade attached, there wasn't must room left over. It towed great. I'm sure glad it has brakes...
My tractor is 330 miles from me. Going to buy a trailer so I can bring it home Thursday.
What size do you think is best to hold a Yanmar YM 1700,
4' box blade, 5' grader blade and a 24" rear scoop.
I've been looking at the 16' pipe, tandem axle with brakes.
I will be using the trailer doing odd...
Help! My only key is about to break in half. I read a couple of posts on here that said to get a key for JD 850. Well I did but it doesn't match what I have. There were pics of keys on one of the post (if you saw that pic mine is the 3rd key with the name Yanmar and # 30 on it). It's kinda...

Any info on upkeep or anything would be greatly appreciated.

Where is the VIN # that I need?
Thanks
