Snow Blade  Avoiding removing gravel while plowing snow.

I was talking to a friend today. He said he had a local welding shop cut a grove in a 2inch pipe so he could slip the pipe over the mold board on his blade. They also put a couple of attachment points on the pipe and he used rubber tarp fasteners to hold the pipe in place. He said this...

    Throttle on 1520

I have a question on my JD 1520. The throttle seems pretty stiff and it has a tendency to jump out of the position it is in back to a lower speed. I'm thinking this is the governor trying to work, but it just doesn't seem right. Is that how it is supposed to be or do we have it adjusted...

    1520 working in Montana

I used the tractor for the first time the last couple of nights. I put about 4 hours on it and it worked great. The mower and the tiller both worked well. It took a little practice to use the tiller. At first I wasn't sure if I had enough tractor for this tiller. But with a little practice...

I ordered a new Zenith Carburetor for my JD 1520 today. A friend of mine rebuilt the stock carburetor, but the restictor plate was too worn and it won't run correctly. I've been advised that the new carburetor doesn't have an electronic fuel shut off. Now I will have to cut the gas off...
