Loses electrical power and engine dies jd 1020

Had a similar but somewhat different problem on my 1020. Never failed to crank but would just die when running. Sometimes it would fire back up but not always. Using a VOM doesn’t always show you a problem because they won’t always show a weak or intermittent connection. Vibration when running...

    1020 gas electrical problem

My wiring diagram shows red from starter goes to a circuit breaker and then to switch battery terminal. The light switch also goes to battery terminal on the switch. Since you say you have power at the switch this makes me lean toward a bad ground at the starter or the battery. That’s where I...

Changing fluids on a newly acquired 555B. Refilled trans with 134A to full mark on stick. Did the same for the diff using the rear stick. When I went back and checked the trans stick it was way overfull. I think I have read that the trans/diff are interconnected, but wondering which dipstick is...

    Backhoe  555B trans unloader solenoid

Hoping someone out there can give me a little direction. Unloader circuit on the transmission is not working. Pulled the solenoid and the end plug seal to remove the spool valve. Spool valve seems to be in pretty good shape. Hooked up the solenoid up on the bench and it pulls in (retracts...

 Have an older 4500 TLB. Been using it alot lately and some kind of problem developed with running. It usually happens when motor is heavily loaded and I can sense that the motor is beginning to run unevenly. There is a real quick spike in the RPMs (usually pick up 100-300 rpm) and...

    Loader  ford loader spool valve

I have a 4500 TLB and have a problem with the front loader spool valve. If I have dumped a load and want to back spread it, the bucket wants to curl back up once preasure is applied from the dumped material. Not sure if there is some check valve not holding, the spool is worn out, or just what...
