    Failed bearing 7010

A couple mechanics came to my garage on May 5/17 and replaced the front hub assembly's on my 2012 LS7010. Mine were still good but LS (Pattersons) are upgrading 200 tractors in the area. They left me the old assemblies to do what I wish with. The tie-rod ends they had with them had grease...

Where are the "older" LS Tractors?

Thanks buddy, I designed and built the garage last year. Big job, glad to get her done. Just got to get the man cave finished up with better seating and internet to hook up an android box. I have been retired for 3 years but have got to learn to slow down and relax.

    7010 Tie Rod Ends

Today I added grease fittings to my tie-rod ends on the 7010. I thought it would be better to give them some grease before they fail. Just a note, that the boots should be sprayed periodically so they don't dry out and crack allowing water to get in.

How's everyone doing with the SNOW

Has snowed all day and suppose to continue through the night. Should end up with about 14". Lots of wind so drifting will also be an issue. I already have people calling to get plowed out tomorrow. I will be starting early in the morning.

75hp or 85hp Backhoe or 9 ton Excavator

About 6 years ago I bought an old John Deere 510B backhoe to use on my property for hauling shale, topsoil, digging out stumps, ditching, septic tanks, putting in culverts, etc... They are probably the most useful toy you can get if you have lots of work to do. Actually, one of the first...

Added LED Work Lights to LS7010

Today I added Sucool 4" Square 48W LED work lights to the rear of my 2012 LS 7010. I plow about 15 driveways in the area and very often it is late at night and you can't have to many lights. The original lights were not bad but these ones make quite a difference. It was the first time I...

    loaded tires rust rims faster

I use AGRI-LIM 50, it is made in Quebec and is environmentally friendly. Non corrosive and all that stuff. The rest of my toys have calcium but I did have to change a rim and tire on a 510B John Deere backhoe, expensive. Made a mess of the lawn for sure. Nothing lasts for ever, but it sure...

LS 7010 Electrical Issue With Differential Lock

I thought that it would be nice to share an issue I had with my differential lock. Last winter when I needed to use my differential lock I had to keep the switch pushed in for it to work. As soon as I let go of the switch the differential lock would not engage. So a month ago I thought I...

Proud owner of a new owner's manual

I like your modifications, thinking outside the box. I like the tool box you installed, I have the storage area behind the seat jammed full of emergency parts and wrenches. Not much room. If your tool box is rugged enough, you could still use it to stand on.

    I don't have enough tractor/traction, what now?

I agree, that lifting the blower slightly will make a big difference when going up a hill in deep snow. I do quite a few driveways within a 5 mile radius and several are steep and can be very icy. I run maxigrip studs front and back to help with the ice. Not as good as chains but better than...

    Comparison mf 35 or 135

I have a MF 135 diesel and have basically rebuilt it over the past 10 years. When I first got the tractor the ring gear bolts came loose and broke the housing. I replaced the housing and bearings, etc.. at the same time. The good thing is you can still get parts for them and there are still lots...

MF 135 Hydraulics Overhaul Missing Dashpot Plunger

I got everything back together on my MF 135 and hydraulics are strong once again. I had a friend you weighs over 300 + lbs. stand on the back of angle blade in photo and it lifted it nice and smooth with no problems. Plus the blade has a 5 gal. bucket of chain to help keep down pressure on it...

    newbie snow removal advice needed

I did a lot of snow plowing this winter and used a combination of snow blower and snow pusher. I would clean up with the snow pusher and blow everything back with the snow blower. Worked good. I added a back drag to the top of the snow pusher to get the snow away from buildings and knock down...

MF 135 Hydraulics Overhaul Missing Dashpot Plunger

Mr. O'Brian here is a couple more photo's I took that may help you. I always find that you can't have to much info when doing a project. Manuals can sometimes be confusing for people like myself. Anytime you have the hydraulic lift cover off it is a good time to clean the oil filter and check...

MF 135 Hydraulics Overhaul Missing Dashpot Plunger

There is lots of knowledgeable guys on here and I am sure you will get advice on any problems you may run into. In my case the lift arms where not lifting all the way up and were jerky. It is a pain when you have more than one problem but you have to work your way through them. I have been...

MF 135 Hydraulics Overhaul Missing Dashpot Plunger

When freeing up the threaded rod I had to use a torch and get a good weld on the nut. A new rubber boot will be here tomorrow. Just making the adjustment on the spring helped with the operation of the lift arms. Next I have to replace the diaphragm.

MF 135 Hydraulics Overhaul Missing Dashpot Plunger

Hello Mr. OBrian, I am overhauling some of the hydraulics on my Massey 135 as well. The draft control isn't working as it should. Yesterday I removed the top link and adjusted the spring. A bigger job than it sounds in the manual. I took some pictures and will post them later today, I left my...

    Failed bearing 7010

    Snow plow or snow pusher

I use an 8ft pusher and 86" snow blower. The blower works good but is slow and hard on fuel. The pusher is much faster and does a good job cleaning up. The blower is a must if you don't want high banks nearing the end of winter. I just added a back drag on the top of the pusher, should help...

    Failed bearing 7010

I just put a new grader blade on the bottom, adding 2 1/2" to the height. Plowing down steep hills, the bottom edge wouldn't always touch the ground. I ran into the same problem this winter with a brand new angle plow I purchased. It was a no name brand from China sold to a guy for his...

    Failed bearing 7010

I have a 2012 LS7010 that I purchased at Patterson's in Moncton. Did they send the part over to a repair shop in your area, to save you from hauling it all the way to Moncton. That would be a great help. Did they figure out what caused the bearing failure. I did lots of plowing snow this winter...

Getting close to spring but it has been a hard winter in New Brunswick Canada. This winter I took the bucket off the tractor and put a 8ft. snow pusher on. Gary, it is an old bell buoy that washed up on the shore about a mile from home. On the Bay Of Fundy. It was painted and beat up quite bad. I have spent quite a long time sanding and polishing it. (Between many other projects) The bell is made from solid brass and weighs over 200 lbs. I have...

Carl, I have the same snow blower as yours. Your right, all you need to do is add some paint once in awhile, they can take quite a beating with the gravel. Last year mine was red to match my MF 135. I also had to get off to rotate the chute. This year I painted it blue to match my new LS...

Nice looking tractor. I sure would like to have a blower like you have on my tractor. Up here in New Brunswick we can get quite a bit of snow. My tractor looks a lot like your New Holland. I had to paint up my old snow blower to match the LS 7010.

    Hydraulic Filter Change

Gary, I went to change my hydraulic filter and seen there was going to be quite abit spill so I stopped. Reason being I had 32 hydraulic oil and the 7010 takes 68. As soon as I get the 68 weight oil I will change the filter. Quite a storm the other day. Out playing.

    My LS P7010C purchase story

Gary, here is a front view of the 7010. The tractor is working good. I was a little worried at first for buying a tractor that not a lot of people in the area have. But the old guys are coming and having a closer look. All positive comments. No regrets.

Posible blizzard coming to Massachusetts and surrounding states

I know what its like. Last year I was blowing snow with my 135 MF. It isn't allot of fun. Although I still have my 135 MF I am using my new LS 7010 with cab. Much more enjoyable. I added hydraulics to the old blower just so I didn't have to get out in the cold. Getting spoiled in my old age.
