    Snow pusher mounted on tractor?

I have a 7' hydraulic angle blade on the front of my L3400 for pushing snow and it works just fine. I can't help but think that an 8' blade on your M7040 would be a good match. The 7' blade is a bit wide for the L3400 but when the blade is angled as far as it will go the rear tires are still in...

    Power Beyond on Kubota L3200

Rayster, I'm a little late to reply here, but I went the same basic way that I think your going and just simply added a Prince valve next to the FEL valve. Simple, quick, dirty and works well. (L3400) Steve

Hydraulic quick connects on loader torque tube, Bracket? or None.

James, I just recently built a bucket and grapple for my tractor. I made coupler brackets that bolt to the hydraulic hard line cover on the torque tube. Its well worth the small amount of time and money to make it solid and not have to fight zip ties. I havent had the time to try out the grapple...

Building an FEL quick attach for an L3400 Kubota

Sean, Looking pretty good so far and I like the design of the upper ears. I also had interference problems at the bottom of the adaptor, but mine was when the cylinder was fully extended. You are going to love having the reamer for final fitting. I bought one off of ebay and it was well worth...

Building an FEL quick attach for an L3400 Kubota

O.K. Chilly, Im back with my repair info. Part of the reason that I got hung up in the bucket the other day is that I bent the upper ear on my QA. How I managed that I don’t know. What happened was that it pinched the upper bucket pin into the QA and it wouldn’t release the bucket. It only...

    Homemade quick attach

Chilly807, Glad to see that your back to work on your quick attach, I'll try to keep an eye on your build. O.K. guys, here's an update on my homemade quick attach. I'm in the process of building another bucket for my tractor. I had a pair of plates made to weld to the back of the new bucket. (a...

    Add on bucket hooks

I did a bunch of research on this basic subject and found out that the best place to place a hook is in line with the bucket cylinders. A hook in the center of the bucket would be very handy as well. The idea is to keep the weight of whatever you're lifting centered in the bucket so not to...

Kubota "L" series rear remote, the hard way.

MtnviewRanch. I hope to get started on a machine shed this summer ( post & frame style) and the ground here is solid shale. That makes for some pretty tough digging and have high hopes that a down pressure attachment will help drilling post holes. The ground is flat so got lucky there. I can see...

Kubota "L" series rear remote, the hard way.

Here ya go, got an itch to try something like this? I should also mention that I rotated the handle assy 90deg for this install. Easy to do, take out 4 screws, twist handle housing, reinstall 4 screws. https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?item=9-7861&catname=hydraulic Steve

    Mowing 3pt mower preference question

A finish mower with only 2 wheels? Yeah, I would have to pass on that. I would imagine that if you bought it at the right price then there is a chance that a person could modify it and add 2 more wheels to it. A big chance of course. I bought a used woods 72in mower that only had one season on...

Kubota "L" series rear remote, the hard way.

Thanks for the kind word guys. J.J., thanks for catching me on the power beyond, guess I forgot all about that, also thanks for posting the PDF on the prince valve, I saved a copy. I didnt figure that there would be very many people here that had the equipment to cut and braze their own...

Kubota "L" series rear remote, the hard way.

The final chapter, promise. The method that I used to add a rear remote will work on the Kubota “L” series basic tractors like the L2800, L3400, and L4400 and others. This method might also be used on different brand and models, it just depends on what your tractor lay out is like and you’ll...

Kubota "L" series rear remote, the hard way.

Now I need to find a place on the tractor to tap into for a high pressure in and a power beyond port. I would like to mention that I have a degree from the Red Green Skool of “Resourceful Repurposing” and was able to use that knowledge in the next step. This is a picture of the hard line that...

Kubota "L" series rear remote, the hard way.

Next up is what to do for a tank return line. I’ve been staring at this plate wondering what its for. Internet research said that it is for mounting the optional draft control valve. Nowhere could I find a hydraulic flow chart for this tractor. Lets take this plate off and see what’s behind...

Kubota "L" series rear remote, the hard way.

Its a true fact that some people should never be left alone with their thoughts. Now arm this person with welders, torches, grinders and sharp pointy objects and the out come could be anything from fantastic to outright disaster. I am that person and theres a pretty good chance that if your...

    Pin to bushing clearance?

As per David's suggestion, I went to the hydraulic shop to check out cross tubes. They didnt have anything in stock so I ordered 2 pieces of 1"id and 1 piece of 1-1/4id. I hit the poor guy right at closing time so I didnt ask him prices and told him to just put them on his next stock order and...

    Pin to bushing clearance?

I used 1" x 3/8" wall DOM tubing when I built the pin on style quick attach for the loader on my tractor. I had to take a die grinder with a burr bit to clearance the tubing to get a 1" pin to slide through it. Obviously this is not a precision way to do this although it did work. I have...

Educate me on beefing up the FEL bucket to add hooks

I really didnt want to weld on my new bucket so I made mine bolt on. Just another idea to play around with. Steve

    Let's see your Kubota

I found the dozer blade at the Kubota dealer where I bought the tractor. It was a traded in on something else and sat on the lot for a few years. The dozer blade has to be about 10 years old (or older) and it was never mounted or used. I did some research on it and as near as I could figure, it...

Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Bucket vs Snow Pusher

I can move snow a lot faster with a blade then I can with the bucket. The bucket on my tractor is only 5' wide where the dozer blade is 7' wide. I dont need to pile snow up anywhere otherwise a bucket might be better for that. Just my .02 cents. Steve

L3400DT with dozer blade. Works well for snow plowing, spreading gravel and moving dirt. Woods 72" mower and a temporary make shift way of raising roof panels to replace hail damaged steel.

    Homemade quick attach

Yessireebob, there is no such thing as too many tractors. After I brought home the 3rd tractor, my wife asked me "How many tractors do you need?" Good question, so I said "One per acre" That leaves me some wiggle room ya know. What I wanted was a modern tractor with 4x4 ,live PTO ,power steering...

    Homemade quick attach

OK guys, here ya go. I wish that I had taken more pictures as I went, but didn’t. There are enough, however, to give you a good idea how it goes together. The guy in the video must have had used a metal break to form the main pieces and I didn’t have access to one so I had to do mine the hard...

    Homemade quick attach

Hey puckgrinder, It was because of that very video that inspired me to build one for my tractor. I had built a pallet fork attachment and found out pretty quick that changing from bucket to forks was a real PIA. The skid steer style is faster to change out a bucket then this one but its also...

    Weight Box

Yep, you will find LOTS of homemade boxes and such on the 'net. I discovered pretty quick that I needed rear ballast as well when using the FEL. I had 4 rear wheel weights off of an old Farmall that needed a job to do so I came up with a "Quick and dirty" way to help solve the problem. This was...
