dingo grapple rake to full size skid steer mount

A buddy came across a dingo grapple rake. My NH TC-40 has a skid steer mounting plate. Anyone have any experience with welding up a full size plate to a dingo plate? I've always wanted a grapple, and this is the closest I'm likely to get to having one, can't justify a couple grand on what would...

    Overcharging TC-40

Here's a weird story that might help someone understand a similar issue in the future. Mowing deer plots in September 21, we noticed a sulfur odor, an noticed that the battery was gassing off, to the point that we were afraid to pull the battery. Sent a guy into town and a couple of hours later...

    homemade chain harrow?

We use two rows of three 1x3 ft sections of deck grating (not expanded metal). These are chained together and do well to follow the contours of the ground. We pull with 4 wheelers to cover food plots after discing and broadcasting with the tractor

Loader  What size flats to remove 16LA cylinders

I left my TC40D at our deer camp, will need to replace bucket seals. Last time I did the lift cylinder, I borrowed a buddy's big cresent wrench. I plan on buying a spud cresent to keep on the machine, does anyone know what size the flats are on those cylinders? The last thing I want is to...

Advice on fixing a seed spreader

Yes you guys gave good advice. I did end up welding it, and that is exactly what I did, kept the puddle in the heavy plate and only barely swept in to the sheet metal. I also rotated stitches as y'all mentioned to keep it from creeping too bad. I think it came out ok, I could have run the...

Advice on fixing a seed spreader

This shows the new plate in position, notice how it overhangs the OD of the bottom of the cone. Someone on BayouGardener suggested I stitch weld and fill with JB weld. Had not thought of that option, but seems like a good idea.

Advice on fixing a seed spreader

I am trying to rebuild a seed spreader, one of those "the Hollow" three point hoppers. The bottom plate needs to be replaced. I had a local shop plasma cut a new bottom plate out of eighth inch plate.I just cut the old bottom out of the hopper, and left 3/8 or so around the perimeter, hoping to...

Traction  TC40DA Supersteer stuck in 4WD

Ive been looking at other posts regarding this problem and it seems that the supersteer machines are a bit different than others in the way the 4WD lock is designed. In my case, it appears that I hit something and broke the cable leading from the 4WD lock lever. It also appears that the plate...

Helicoil for plastic body NH TC40

Does anyone have a suggestion for this problem: I removed the lower cowling to access the relay panel on my NH TC40, and ran into a problem with one of the firewall bolts. Instead of nuts on the backside, they molded in a Dodge style thread body in the plastic cowling. The threads were frozen...
