Griffin Dump Trailer Issues Never Again

I'm picking up a Diamond C next week, they're a little spendy but built for commercial service.

    Fire from neighbor's land

I burnt my neighbors woods last spring, you can bet your azz I fell all over myself apologizing for it after the rural fire trucks finally left that night. I felt like a complete jackwagon. I've got a 100 gallon water tank and pump, a 4 gallon backpack and a 2 gallon handheld sprayers this year.

    Rotary Phase Converters - revisited

I've built a few, I'll see if I can find my notes. You'll need to scrounge up a bucket full of oil filled run capacitors, 330v or higher, a couple of start capacitors, a timer and a 3 pole contactor. Feebay is a good place to find used (cheap) stuff like that. logixjock at 12345 dot com

What did you buy this week?

I'd be interested in a review of that compressor after you've had a chance to use it for a few months.

Pictures from a skid steer mowing contractor

My best friend (automotive shop owner) always said, "if they're not kicking gravel across the parking lot when they leave, you didn't charge them enough") Ironically, he was the guy who just couldn't take his own advice.

    TC29 FEL Curl is Weak

I finally got a chance to put the bucket on and test it and it will no longer pick the front wheels up off of the ground. Definitely something has gotten weak. I couldn't find my box of gauges and fittings yet, but since it is weak in both directions, I'm thinking a piston seal is gone. I'm...

    TC29 FEL Curl is Weak

It doesn't seem to leak down any faster than it ever did. Somewhere I have a box of fittings and a gauge, I'm going to try to get some pressure readings after the loader valve later this evening

    TC29 FEL Curl is Weak

I have a New Holland TC29 with a 7308 FEL rated to pickup 875 pounds with the loader arms and 1602 pounds with the curl. Today I unloaded a pallet that weighed 837 pounds and the main loader cylinders just handled it OK, but I noticed that the curl cylinders couldn't budge it at all. The curl...

    58 MPG by 2032

The id10t that ran the Freemont factory ended up as CEO of the company I worked for (tier 1 supplier) and brought in a bunch of his old GM cronies to help him. We went from thriving supplier with facilities in 8 states to bankrupt and the pieces sold off to 2 Canadian firms in 2.5 years...

I keep seeing people talk about the strike against the "big 3" I wasn't aware that Toyota, Tesla and VW had anything to do with the UAW.

    58 MPG by 2032

I'm an old man. My father drilled it into my young (thick) skull that when roading a piece of equipment between fields that it was my responsibility to keep track of how many cars were lined up behind me and pull over when there got to be more than 3 or 4 piled up. Everything is cash rented now...

Don't you dare think about leaving us hanging now that you've "started" this project. It looks really interesting.

Gov't mandates gas can flame arrestors.

I have an awesomely funny story that involves a 5th of Canadian Club, a sketchy old wooden ladder, a chainsaw, and pouring gas on a smoldering burnpile, but I wouldn't want to be responsible for encouraging that kind of behavior in anyone else so I'll let everyone just use their imagination. My...

1971 MF135 FEL, What Fits, Where to Buy?

That's what I'm thinking, when the supply chain gets normalized again I'll find something in the 40 hp range and give this little guy to my son. Going to see what it can do later on this morning.

1971 MF135 FEL, What Fits, Where to Buy?

Well, I ended up buying the little TC29 yesterday, got it delivered today. Thanks for the information fellas, it pushed me to go ahead and spend the money on another tractor. I guess you can't have too many.....

1971 MF135 FEL, What Fits, Where to Buy?

A New Holland TC29 with a factory loader has come up this morning about 100 miles away. It's a little smaller than I'd like, but is available now, and not much more expensive than the Westendorf loader I was looking at for my MF135. I'm going to go look at it after lunch today.

1971 MF135 FEL, What Fits, Where to Buy?

I have an old state mowing tractor with the mid-mount sickle bar. I am planning on removing the sickle and installing a front end loader. The only quote I have so far is for a Westendorf for just under 7 thousand dollars. This seems a little high, although to be fair, I really don't have a good...
