Well now that I spent $300 on the Scotts L2548 trans. pump block (works fine now) the rest of the mower is falling apart.....Brigs engine pops and backfires...the starter clicks and randomly engages, then sticks on after the engine starts, and the new mower deck belt is fraying at the edges...

For some reason the shop book for my 1958 620 talks about removing the head in discussing the exhaust manifold removal. I know that sometimes the procedures are moving forward in removal of more parts than is necessary because it is getting on to other areas. I hope to just remove the carb...
