Loader Fire wood season / a lot easier this year

I considered leaving the tractor at the woods. It is about 8 miles away. The trails in my parents property are so tight and curving that I have all I can do to drive thru without a trailer. The dooley fenders and wide turning radius of the truck are not ideal for driving thru the woods. We like...

Loader  Fire wood season / a lot easier this year

With my 13 year old daughter Josie behind the wheel of the John Deere this week we managed to bring home three loads of wood so far. The grapple I made has been very helpful lifting and moving larger logs, moving brush and holding logs at waist height while I saw them up. My daughter drivers the...

    CountyLine from Tractor Supply

The lower the price usually means lighter weight materials and less strength. For light work you might be just fine. Dump trailer, Finally decided what I am buying.

Well I took the day off and picked or the dump trailer. Dealer didn't have the lunette ring so I had to use the 2-5/16" ball coupler. I decided to order one off the internet when I got home. The trailer had white spoke wagon wheels but the dealer didn't have a spare to match. So I had them swap...

Dealer said the new trailer will dump 6-7 times without a recharge. I have battery maintainers for my truck and tractor and they are always hooked up when I am not using them. I have one for the new trailer also and RV power outlets on my property to plug it in. I will probably look for a marine...

Dump trailer, Finally decided what I am buying.

After 3-4 weeks of shopping on the net and making many phone calls I put a deposit on a dump trailer. I wanted a dump trailer with slide out ramps tucked away underneath the bed. First day for dogs in the snow.

I clear a trail to the woodpile and all around the yard for the dogs to use. The dogs never seem to use it for their business but it gives me some seat time plowing. My oldest rottie loves the winter and will play/lay around outside for hours. Then she will cook herself next to the woodstove.

You bet. Wife has me do hers too. 2 pairs on the left I wear day to day. I usually keep them in the box so my dogs don't chew them. I will still clean up this 4 year old pair even though stiching is missing on toes. Thet are worn in the shop when kneeling and welding.

3/8" CHAIN HOOKS FOR FEL BUCKET

I made some chains hooks for the bucket. Cut off the eyelet on each hook and welded them to some 1/4" plate to spread out the load and strenghten the mounting area. Couldn't justify the price of a new one. I think I'll tack weld a sacrificial bottom to this and change as needed. lots of blacktop, concrete and gravel road to plow every snow fall. This should save the bucket edge. Next will have to be a homemade tooth bar and grapple I guess. Tom
