I bumped it up to a little over 3000 rpm's.

GC Series - 23 or 25 HP from the same size engine: How do they do that?

I've had each version of GC compacts, GC2310, GC2610, GC 1710 and and the newest one. I went with the GC 1710 because of the difference in RPM'S, as I thought I would have longer longevity with turning less RMP's. After a couple weeks, I missed the "power" of the GC2610. I took a dremel tool...

    New GC1700......

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the gc1710 and the gc1720, besides horsepower? I've looked at a gc1705 and I'm interested in trading my GC2610, but need to know why there is now $2000.00 between a GC1710 and a GC1720. If I remember right it was only $500.00 between the the...

    Finally Have Hydraulics Plumbed Correctly

I believe I have had the hydraulic lines going to my backhoe backwards for sometime on my GC 2610. I posted a while back that my 3pt valve went bad and when it was replaced, the mechanic changed around the hookups, telling me they were wrong. After this valve was replaced and hookups changed...

Has anyone else "rolled" their GC2610

I have owned a GC series Massey since 2005 and a GC 2610 since 2008. On Saturday, while moving a large pile of topsoil for a neighbor, I finally "rolled" my tractor. The large pile had been setting for about a year and was very compacted. I was cutting into the pile with the front bucket...

Tires  How many gallons of fluid in tires on GC 2610

I had to patch a tire on the rear or my GC 2610 (broken metal fence post). How many gallons of fluid should I put in and how much is to much? Thanks.

Backhoe  Problems with new backhoe on GC 2610

I love my new tractor, but experienced my first problem this past weekend. A hydraulic hose on the main boom for the backhoe burst, sending hydraulic fluid into my face. It appears that this is a design flaw, as there is nothing to protect the hoses as they past out of the boom. (See Photos)...

    Grease fitting on GC2610

While installing the upgrade for the HST Pedal Return (Neutral), I attempted to grease the fitting that is located between the HST Pedals. It would not take grease. I changed the grese fitting and still no luck. Has anyone else had any problems greasing this fitting?

    Loader on 2610

I went to put my loader on my 2610 the other day and noticed that only one loader cylinder wasn't moving. After double checking my hydro connections, I extended the moving cylinder all the way and then the other cylinder started moving. Is there any problem that I need to worry about? My 2310...

    Purchased the new 2610

Well today, I took the plunge and bought a 2610. I must say that it is a much refined tractor compared to my old 2310. I really like the new joystick for the loader. The only thing I don't like, it the plastic around the seat. The new pedals are going to take some getting use to. The build...

Going to buy a new 2610

I'm going to buy a new 2610 on Monday and was shocked how much a 60 inch belly mower was. I was quoted $1995.00. Does this sound ok? The tractor is <$16000.00. Thanks

    Removing Steering Wheel on 2310

I'm trying to remove the steering wheel on my 2310 and need help. I figured that once I popped off the center cap, I would find some threaded holes to use a steering wheel puller on, but the three holes surrounding the center hole are not threaded. I tried using two bars of steel across the...

    2310 Steering Cylinder

When performing service on my tractor at 450 hours, I noticed that the steering cylinder in front of the front axle, moves slightly when the steering wheel is turned backwards and forths. Has anyone else notived this with their's? It appears to me that this should not move and should rest...

    Backhoe  "New" 2310 backhoe

\"New\" 2310 backhoe I have an older 2310 without a tach. A co-worker just bought a new 2310 and I went over to play with it. Upon unhooking the backhoe, I found three hydrualic lines going to it. Can anyone tell me why there's three lines on the new ones and only two on mine? Thanks

    new 2310

I stopped by my dealer today and looked closely at the newest version of the 2310. I noted that there was an additional hydraulic line going to the backhoe. I also noted that there was a line going into the side of the valve body for the hoe, through the covering. This would be on the left of...

    2310 back hoe problems

After I run the back hoe on my 2310 and the hydrualic oil gets hot, when the hoe is stessed, I get a severe whinning sounding from the tractor. I'm not sure where exactly it's coming from, but sounds like the rear end. The hoe seems not to have as much power after it runs for twenty minutes in...

Official word on questions/problems with GC2310

I sent an email to AGCO about the problems with my 2310 and recieved this reply today and thought I would share it with you all. I recently purchased a GC 2310 and like it overall, except for the following: --The manual for the tractor needs updated in reference to service intervals. It...

    2310 inner tie rods boots

Has anyone else had problems shredding their inner tie rod end boots when brush hogging or even mowing. I've changed mine twice now. I guess I'm going to have to make some king of guard for them, as any brier will cut them upon contact.

    Backhoe  2300 and woods backhoe

I have a 2310 and the backhoe is just"ok" I like the woods groundbreaker hoe, but can I fold up the 3pt hitch and store it on a 2300 with a woods backhoe, like can be doen on my 2310? I switch implements alot and it would be a pain to remove and install the lift arms on my hitch everytime I...

    Rear PTO Shield on 2310

I just purchased a 2310 and after removing the hoe, I dropped the 3 point hitch down and found that the PTO Shield also swings down, but there's nothing to bolt or pin it to, due to the backhoe subframe mount being in the way. I'll call the dealer on Monday, but was just curious. Thanks
