I've always used low ash 10W in my 2500B gas tractor in the winter, but now I'm being told Case IH is no longer supplying low ash oils. The tractor is just used for plowing snow in winter. I'm thinking a 10w-30 would be just as good for what I need, but any other thoughts would help. Thanks

I'm a newly retired operating engineer that lives on the farm that my great grandfather bought in 1902. We don't actively farm, the land is rented out, but still take care of most of the mowing and trimming of fence rows and waterways. Getting on the tractor is mind clearing.
