    Adding Mirror to Loader Frame

Hi all.... I hot-glued a couple of dollar store mirrors to a 10" x 20" OSB panel and hinged it to the ceiling of my tractor canopy. When I clear my 2000 foot driveway with a 6 foot 3 pt hitch snowblower, it saves cramping my neck around for extended periods. It is also very helpful otherwise...

    JD 420 clutch issue

Hi all.... After brush hogging with my JD 420, I went to park it and had no clutch...period. The pedal feels totally disconnected...no resistance. If it's the connecting linkage, will this require splitting the tractor to reconnect? Any suggestions appreciated. John

    Engine starting

Hi all.... I've gotten into the habit of cranking my Ford 4000 for a couple of seconds before pulling the choke to make it start. My theory is that this starts the lubrication process before the engine actually starts....saving a bit of wear and tear. Does this make any sense? Take care, John

Oil & Fuel  Ferguson TO-20 oil pan issue

Hi There.... I sadly report that my 1949 TO-20 bit the dust. I spun a bearing. I was using a grooming mower and was going around my meadow a total 0f 700-900 feet per loop. After completing the loop I spotted a stream of oil on the cut grass. I shut it down immediately but it was too late...

Ford 4000 issue with steering column.

Hi all... I worked my "new to me" 1973 Ford 4000 digging semi frozen gravel with my loader and spreading it on my iced over driveway. I did this for an hour. Bad idea! I stopped when I noticed a tablespoon of oil running down the steering column. Does anyone know what is going on? Thank...

looking for a 3 pt hitch backhoe

Hi all..... Have a Ford 3000 with loader and am looking for a 3 pt hitch backhoe. I have been told that it's much better having a frame..... that it decreases the chances that you might break something on your tractor. Thanks for your thoughts..... Exedman
