First time tractor buyer! Can some one tell me the best selection for abouit a 40 hp 4wd tractor transmission. I see several types. I'm leaning toward a new tractor with standard, seams simple and cheaper to repair if need be. Thanks John john@johnmcfadden.com

I'm in the market for a 40+ hp for 10 acres in the Lockhart area. New or used which would be the better way to go? Whould I run into problems with a late model used?
