    New trailer build

After seeing how much draw welding my spring hangers on my trailer frame created I decided to use this effect to help straighten my 6 ft fork extensions on my fork lift. They are made from 6x2x1/4 channel and had 1.75 inch bows from lifting 5000# racks of granite over 6 or 7 years. I ran a bead...

    New trailer build

Painting the top of the deck was easy, but crawling around underneath with a spay gun wouldn't be much fun, so we made it easier.

    New trailer build

Finished putting deck on this morning. That 3# expanded is definitely a pain to cut. Two 4 x 8 sheets completed the deck with almost zero waste. Now the painting has to be finished. Looks like spraying will waste lots of paint. Lots of air to paint.

    New trailer build

Got the deck metal on one side. The 3# expanded metal is tough to cut. Don't have Torch or plasma so had to cut with a zip disk. This deck is very stiff and doesn't go bong like diamond plate with every step.

    New trailer build

A Few more pictures. After welding the spring hangers I noticed a 3/4 draw in the stringers. Not good! The plans called for stitch welds between the 2x6 rail and the 2x6 angle. I did a continuous weld, and monitored the draw as I progressed. Started in the middle and worked my way to the ends...

    New trailer build

Thought somebody would notice that. Other side of clamp has no rubber pad. Can't remember why I did that, but it worked fine. Decking is 3# expanded metal, so no decking screws. A few more pics.

    New trailer build

Decided I needed a trailer to move my BX25 from one property to another. Borrowing and renting proved to be a pain. To move the tractor and a piece of equipment or two I figured a 16' car trailer would be about right. Searched the net and found a set of plans I liked. Had them in PDF format in...

    BX 1860 wood chipper decision

i just bought a Walco WC40 thru my dealer. $2250 setup and delivered to my door. Identical to Wally. Only difference is the color (only grey available). Tried it out yesterday, it works great on my BX25. cut stuff up 3"+ with no hint of slowing down or strain on tractor.

    Wood chipper

I have been looking at chippers for the last couple of months and have read most of the posts about chippers on this site. Many feel the 4" Wally to be a great chipper and will work successfully on a BX25. My dealer priced one for me and also suggested a Walco Renegade WC40 at a much lower...
