I Went To Purchase A New Mini-Excavator And This Happened.....

When you start a Kubota Min ex like this does the hr meter flash zero across the screen basically a screen test and then show the hrs? I assume it will show hrs running or not, but I speculate maybe the sales guy put the key in turned it on to see 000000 hrs flash on the screen for long enough...

I Went To Purchase A New Mini-Excavator And This Happened.....

Not trying to be that guy but .. today I guess I am. That is black by the way... @LittleBill21 said "Gray" the grease has absorbed dust blowing around and so has the cylinder... if kept in the rain outside on a dirt lot that can and will splash up a lot of dirt as well same as on a flat bed...

Grease - is there no better way? Can we talk about this?

Not an expert but was in another thread reading the type aka makeup of the grese needs to be compatible with what is already in the machine, so avoiding mixing of different brands and staying with what is recommend by the manufacture is and can be a good thing. this is related to the quality or...

I Went To Purchase A New Mini-Excavator And This Happened.....

Because he is complaining about pennies while burning $100 in the process. loosing 0% and a deal being made to get a machine he wanted while complaining about 7.1 hrs and some dirt. dirt could have been rectified by the good dealer and a honest sit down of where did these 7 hrs come from

I Went To Purchase A New Mini-Excavator And This Happened.....

incomplete unit? so how many hrs does it take to complete it? might have had a few hrs getting it dialed in by the dealer. I suspect a few hrs to move it around, from factory to the countless lots to get to you. when they said zero did you expect litteteally zero? look at the blade in...

Skidder or Tractor? If you could only have one.

tire version are more stable then you feel and in some cases lifting a set of wheels up is a feature. Track machine will go places a tractor could never go soft mud and side hills and they are way different than a tire version

Skidder or Tractor? If you could only have one.

each machine has its strengths and weakness and those very in the application they are used in. moving dirt around a house with 6 feet clearance skidsteer would run circles around a TLB all day long. On a farm towing a trailer full of dirt that you just loaded up TLB is great at towing ok...

Looking to buy new trade old

Honestly .. I think you should keep the old one and make the decision to sell separate of the decision to buy something else. a lot of history and the $$ gain is pennies. Besides snow what do you want to do with the machine? what type of snow plowing are you doing? driveway, long road ...

    Battery Info

The only issue with AGM batteries is they NEED - WANT a higher voltage for charge levels to be fully charged. Depending on or where your installing this an AGM might actually be a hindrance and negative over just a regular Lead battery if the alternator charge output is is low voltage wise...

How far is too far for driving tractor on the road?

Road convey plenty of times with my grandfather in larger farm equipment combine, planter, sprayers, even drove mind you I was 10. key is be smart take the right road slow down and speed up slowly but with that said where I live now some roads I wouldn't even consider it past a mile or 2

    Tractor smoking

I agree 30 min low idle is bad practice. start it, once smooth running half to 3/4 throttle if you want to warmn things up some but 3-5 min is plenty. then work it. diesel will never heat up at idle.

    What happened to Massey Ferguson?

Kubota, JD, Case have construction lines as well which I suspect helps with dealerships and brand recognition. so in areas that aren't farming focused these lines thrive well with construction and then when they need a sub 50hp tractor there is already the built in location for construction...

The guy that put the engine internals together says "The rings are not seated yet end the smoking is normal. Just give it a couple hours of work"

most diesel engines will never get to operating temp at idle, and with no thermostat I bet that motor is cold as cold. a lot of semi and pickups Cummins actually have a high idle feature for situations where you need it run while not driving to maintain a proper engine temp and not wash the...

FEL plow vs. rear blade for 1 mile of infrequent chipseal road snow removal

Honesty with a 1 mile road, I would consider plowing during a storm and or right after it stops with a snow plow. you could buzz down the road with 2-4 inches of snow and blow and throw it off the road fairly easily, then do it again a few hrs latter during a snow event. The issue is your...

Kubota M5660SUHD caught on fire (60hrs)!

well it's good they sent an inspector. I wish it was independent one. personal opinion depends on how it plays out... the damage done really wasn't that much. fix and sell fix what is needed to sell or part it out. I wouldn't try and skip out on the loan you have way too much to loose and way to...

Dealer Prep Time on New Tractor

WOW nice machine... by looks.. it looks way nicer than the new one ... maybe it is all the plastic. Why not just have them do the tire sealant latter and take delivery of the machine now if you have the need for it? and or have the tire shop sent out.

Dealer Prep Time on New Tractor

The general PDI of a tractor could be done as the shop has time, as they come off the truck. Oil, filters, bolts ETC could all be done before a sale assuming it is sitting longer than a few weeks on a lot. I wonder how many tractors are "modified" with customer add On's ETC VS off the floor...

    Rollover paranoia

honestly.... it comes down to this.... speed, reverse, cab, height of fel and rear weight. if you didn't have a backhoe, block, wheel weights or balist in the tires these rear tires are basically lightly loaded with a loaded FEL. cab moves weight up than no cab tractor and the rear tire...

Kubota M5660SUHD caught on fire (60hrs)!

I wish the op the best on this. but we really need to figure out how and why with evidence vs.'fire no warranty' attitude that the dealer seems to have. I know years ago had a rv, and the bank imposed insurance on the loan... almost more than the loan amount each month, but I had insurance...

    Dealer charge for loading tires

calcium, beat, methanol, water, washer fluid. they all weigh different amounts per gallon which is why calcium is king at 11 3 lbs a gallon over water water at 8.3 lbs a gallon and it's good to negative 58 before it freezes. so which is better really comes down to how much weight do you need...
