    pto backup generator

I just sold mine. I am going to buy an uninterrupted generator designed for home use. I realized, if power goes out… I have too many other things to do. It might not be too much for you, but it was for me. In the cold weather (northern Minnesota) the risk of animal water, and water lines in...

Bale spear problem; Quick attach easy with FEL/not with BS.

Excellent point. I’m going to need the BS within the next few days. After that, I won’t need it till winter feeding. During that break, I am going to pursue the more permanent solution. Might even include purchase of a new tractor with quick attach PTO and Cab. I’m in northern Minnesota about...

Bale spear problem; Quick attach easy with FEL/not with BS.

UPDATE: my friend Kabota came out today. I told him the problem I was having. He basically pressured the left-hand side against a strong oak tree. Then he looked at it again pressured the right hand side, just a little bit. I was able to latch the pins just great. It’s basically what I did to...

Bale spear problem; Quick attach easy with FEL/not with BS.

I take your point. I’ve received a lot of good information. I’m not going to remove the balespear until I find out from an on-site visual inspection exactly what’s going on. I do know now that it didn’t happen while I was using the tractor. Disappointed by the whole situation, but I may not be...

Bale spear problem; Quick attach easy with FEL/not with BS.

Thank you all. Completely related, today my Kabota salesman/mentor/friend said he was planning to stop out here Monday or Tuesday. I didn’t ask him about this problem. Maybe he reads this forum to keep up with issues. Or maybe some kind of karma is at work. PTL I think. Thanks to all

Bale spear problem; Quick attach easy with FEL/not with BS.

It makes sense.bent somewhere that affects the BS and not the bucket. My neighbor is a pretty professional, long-term farmer. I don’t know. I have BS on now and will probably just leave it there till the spring. Eventually I’m going to have to get an expert out here thanks.

Bale spear problem; Quick attach easy with FEL/not with BS.

It’s a hard place to get a picture of. The best I could do. Today I got the bale spear on by myself, using a very in elegant solution. I boarded thc hard place to get a picture. I did my best. I was able to attach by myself today, I had to stand on the left hand lever: I guess my weight...

Bale spear problem; Quick attach easy with FEL/not with BS.

Kabota L 2501. I can get the FEL bucket on/off with no problem. However, it’s impossible for me to latch the quick attach lever on the bale spear. Last time, I had to get a neighbor… A strong neighbor. Both of us standing and jumping, finally got the lever pushed all the way in until pin...

    Snow  Kubota 1100C snowblower

I recently upgraded from a 2014 RTV 900 to a 2019RTV 1100C (because of a fire). I am considering the front mount snowblower package. It's expensive, but maintaining my 18 year old plow truck and blade is too. I would still have my Kubota L2501 with a FEL to clear the pasture. I live in...

Insurance  2014 Kabota RTV 900 fire total loss

2014 Kabota RTV 900 fire total loss. I was mucking out after the cattle, and the hay/dry manure combusted. I know there was a recall on the 1100, but has anyone else heard of this? Thank you

    Snow  snow blower for pasture

I have an L01 and have to take hay out to the pasture. This winter has so much drifting. Clearing with the FEL just makes it worse. Any advice about the PTO mounted snow blower? Thinking this might be a good counter-weight, as the tractor does seem kind of "narrow" with a bale on the spear...

3-Point Hitch  what is this part

I removed the backhoe from my B2620 and am trying to reinstall the 3 point arms so I can attach the cultivator. I have a part left over! ( not really: it goes on the left lift arm...somehow) I don't see it in the manual and can't remember what it does, or how to install it. Please help

Backhoe  Removing BH 65 from B2020

Removing the backhoe.... Tractor is on level spot, same as last year. The manual (page 19) step 3: Keep stabilizer pads at about 15" high; set 4: Raise rear wheels slightly with the boom and remove the mounting pins. Weight on the bucket should take the weight off the pins. I can't get...

    B2620 bale spear

Any comments/experience with this Tractor 3 Point #3F Bale Spear, Hay Spear, Hay Mover on a Kubota B2620 series. I use round bales, approximately 800 pounds. This could make my life a LOT easier, if it is as advertised. Thanks Fred Cain #3F hay mover is for a standard category 1, 3...

    Traction ztr stuck in mud

Thanks for the answer. I should have done a followup: I was really hung up ---. I called for help so that one of us could be on the mower and one in the tractor. Hooked a chain to the FEL/other end to the trailer hitch and more or less lifted it up and out. Psalm 37 is my guide...(the...

    Traction ztr stuck in mud

I was cutting in deep, wet grass and slipped into the drainage ditch. Decided to turn straight into it, rather than tip. The mower is a Kubota Z-122e and stuck but good. I have plenty to pull it out (B2620, RTV or an F150)..., but don't know where to attach the tow strap/chain. I could use...

When to give up: lemon law for tractors.

I will: pretty exciting day tomorrow. I am getting Katahdin sheep, and another pick up. A 2012 Dodge Ram Laramie Longhorn. The F150 will be my work horse; and the Dodge my "go to church"..... Life is good.

When to give up: lemon law for tractors.

Yes - thats why I think it was the first fill from the can. I tarted using a mesh screen after many visits to my place and the 2rd tow to the shop. We thought dirty fuel and started buying at the CO OP, even though the RTV never had any problems. Hindsight is wonderful!

When to give up: lemon law for tractors.

"We have met the enemy and he is us." These have probably been in the tank since the very first time I filled the tractor from a diesel can. DOH! but a known is always better than an unknown. And this has been a useful study on farm "lemon" laws. If anyone lives in Minnesota - I can...

When to give up: lemon law for tractors.

I agree and have also never used a lawyer for any consumer issue. Yes the tractor is well cared for; even garaged. Maintenance schedules have been followed and exceeded. The tractor has more hours shop time operational time. Both the vendor and I have tried to resolve the operational...

When to give up: lemon law for tractors.

Yup. I think I got a "lemon" . I could go all "geeky" now, 'cause I used to be Six Sigma certified. A six sigma process is one in which 99.99966% of all opportunities to produce some feature of a part are statistically expected to be free of defects - and I managed to get the one tractor...

When to give up: lemon law for tractors.

I bought a tractor from the dealer in late 2013. Since then, it has more hours in the shop than in the field. I sincerely believe the dealer is trying to fix the intermittent problem...but so far, no success. The situation is unacceptable, as I can not trust the tractor to operate; there...

    3-Point Hitch  Kubota B2620

I need to move the BH65. I know the "correct way" is to remove the 3pt hitch and install the Backhoe on the B2620. However, it is cold and I will need the hitch again before I need to use the BH. Is there a safe/practical way to lift and move the BH and with the FEL and chains? Just asking.

    B2620 stalls out

2014 B2620 stalls out when warm; needs about 15 minutes to cool off before restarting. Dealer thinks it is a vapor lock, but has not been able to correct the issue. This is very frustrating - to be out working and quit every hour!!!!! Any input would be appreciated.

Installing 3 Point hitch on b2920 with backhoe subframe

It was a good day. With much help, WD 40, fiddling the with bucket arm and the stabilizers, and patience ... the backhoe pins came out. The PTO bars are on....and even the "mystery piece", eventually. Tomorrow I can hook up the tiller and get to work. Thank you

Using a backhoe to deepen a marshy area

Its winter, and everything is under snow. But when spring almost comes, I want to use a Kubota b2620 with 16"backhoe in small swampy area. I'd like to get out some of the cattail rhizomes and deepen to about 4'. Been told I should be able to do this while the area is "mostly" frozen...

3-Point Hitch  B2620 lift arm bent

I I have a 2620 - seem to me like the lift arm for the underbelly mower deck is bent. In the manual it looks almost 90 degrees, and bent upward by a few degrees...so when the lower link lifts on the lift arm, it forces the lower link outward. The rear bushing on the left lower link is...

Backhoe  Can''t get the pin out to return mechanical thumb to original position.

I used my BH65 16" Backhoe bucket and BH1976 thumb to dig and remove a rock. Now I cannot get the holding pin to budge; it feels like its welded to the dipperstick. Any tips? (I have a call in to the dealer, but its a busy time in Northern Minnesota). Thanks, Dianne

Mechanical thumb for BH65 backhoe 16"

My B2620 was delivered last week, and I am ready to use the thumb. Before I remove the cotter pin, anything I need to know? The Backhoe manual doesn't really address the thumb (BH1976) and I didn't get a separate operator's manual. Thanks. Dianne
