Keep the bucket low. The higher it is, the tippier it gets, especially on hilly ground.

I have the same issue with about four acres. I would hesitate to use chemicals unless you are positive the land won't be used to grow anything or house livestock. I like the goat idea. Will have to check to see if anyone around here has goats.

Great idea. What keeps the trailer jack extended when not being used? Would it bleed down over time? I would also be concerned when towing the trailer if the jack would bleed down and strike the roadway.

You are right. The tractor came with a support strut to support the loader when removed from the tractor. I simply used a longer pipe of the same diameter. I use a board under it for now to prevent it from sinking into the ground. I will eventually weld a section of flat plate to the bottom.
