    Pat's Quick Hitch

Kinda like some others, I have had the Pat's for years and I like it and use it a lot. You need a spreader bar - which you can make or buy. Remember it adds length to the arms. And one attachment it isn't best for is a post hole auger, especially if you drill in rocky ground. It's easy for a...

Buying Advice Questions about potential purchase, not sure where to start

Hello Just my opinion on a couple things that could help you with choices about tractors. Tractors are great work tools and there are many attachments on the market to help you do specific jobs. For your blackberry clearing job you prob need a tractor. Use your good sense to match up the tools...

    RPM sender unit

Hi there, Anybody replaced the RPM sender ? When first startup my 3520H sticks on really low RPM no matter what throttle is set at. After several minutes, like during warmup, the RPM starts reading normal. Hmmmm I figured it's likely a sender unit starting to go. 2014 3520H model. ~Regards

    New Holland battery problem

The Diehard replacement is a good choice. Just got future info, lookup the specs for battery group sizes and you can find the dimensions of the battery.

    Tractor idling

Hey there, Sorry, I don't have the same model tractor as you do but some things are similar with all diesel tractors...like some others have mentioned, I believe it's better to let it idle in cold weather when the engine is up to operating temp. Long as it's not too long...maybe up to 10 min or...

Yep I agree with the freeze plug style block heater. I used those up in Fairbanks and worked well for me. Good luck.

    Battery Replacement

I'm going on ten yrs with my interstate (Johnson Controls) battery in 3520H tractor and very reliable. Info about automotive batteries made in USA: Most automotive batteries made in America are manufactured by one of two companies: Johnson Controls, Inc. or Exide Technologies. The dominant...

    Burn piles

This is a great method for sure and I have used it too. It works for planter areas quite well and I'll continue the method to bury logs and stump pieces while I burn as much as I can with the ridiculous permitted burn piles. Not to get too political in the thread but it might be time for a...

    Burn piles

Our county is filled with silliness when it comes to burn piles and it's all but impossible to burn your own natural wood debris. With a permit you have stupid level restrictions. Tiny fire size. No stumps. No logs. No boards or planks or plywood. Very picky about limbs/branches and hefty fines...

Will asphalt support for a wood shed storing firewood?

I vote to build it on the asphalt. Ballpark shed weight should be around that of a fully loaded pickup and cars and passenger trucks sit on 3" asphalt all the time. But like already mentioned if your temps get real high it's possible to get some asphalt sag (or imprint of your shed footprint)...

    Alternator?

If all else fails you might find a compatible cross referenced alternator at DB Electrical (USA made). If the form, fit, and function works who cares what name is on the label plate. Good luck. Regards.

    JD 5055 quick hitch

I use a Pat's on my 3520H for box blade, rake, and disc harrow but not the post hole digger. The ground here has so many rocks that the auger can catch on a rock and start a heavy twisting movement of the boom which can force one side up out of the lift arm. The latch is too weak to keep the...

Has anyone done their 50hr service (or any service on the hydro fluid) w/ the backhoe on the 20 series?

I think your BHo mount/dismount process is like my 3520H. I've done the service both with and without the BHo attached and just like someone already said the BHo frame does get in the way and BHo does limit space for refilling oil. But the job can be done. Just my opinion but the BHo mounting...

Yesterday. Would you buy and EV?

Everyone should view the video "Who killed the electric car?" and then think for yourself about who is manipulating fuels and transportation in America. Right to repair concerns and shrinking agriculture water rights...well sure hope we can still buy mules somewhere to help with the farming.

    Electric Top Link

Yeah, well I don't know much about selecting the right actuator for this job but there are some pretty hefty heavy duty actuators out there, from hundred lbs force up to more than 1,000 lbs force. When using a manual top link cylinder it doesn't take that much force for sure. Seems the rod ends...

County Line Post Hole Digger - Watch which one you get!

Well with the 3520 I dig holes at around 1800rpm using the EA 6900. Has usually worked fine in this sand, rock, and clay mix but can be difficult with the rocks sometimes. In a rocky area one time the Pats Quick hitch let one lift arm pin lift out of the retainer and twisted the boom/bale...

    Landscape Rake

Hey there, Sounds like a reasonable price range for a 60in rake if you can pick it up with no shipping. If you use a rake a lot EA is lasting top quality and USA made but does cost more. For limited use, cheaper model will work OK. Might bend a few times but they can be replaced. Regards

    Forest Homestead Work in Progress

Great start on your project and hope it goes well ! Your area gets a lot of rain in winter so good gravel road basics will payoff and minimize road washouts - large rock on bottom and smaller crushed rock on top. No rounded rock because it can't lock together. 3/4 minus works OK for the top...

I have found all the service manuals and some owners manuals Branson has available.

Hey Asteral, Do you know which manual applies to the Hey Asteral, Thanks for finding all these service manuals! It's greatly appreciated. I'm trying to figure which one goes for my 3520H...any clues ? I'm guessing it's in 20 series(?)

    Branson BH 76 Backhoe mounting

For the 3520H. OK I know this is a dumb question but has anyone had trouble mounting the backhoe onto the tractor ? Supposed to be kindergarten simple. My backhoe has been off the tractor while I have been using 3-pt attachments and now that I'm ready to do some trenching I'm finding it is...

    EA 6900 attachment on Branson 3520H ?

I'm considering a 6900 attachment from Everything Attachments but first, ,I want to tell you about my PHD. I have this PHD that I got about 15yrs or so ago. It cost quite a lot to get the dang thing. Most everyone that heard about it said it was a good thing to have and that it would pay off...

    3520 HST Issue

HST pedals suddenly moving on their own. By using both feet the Fwd/Rev pedals can still be pushed down and tractor will move accordingly but take feet off pedals and Fwd pedal goes to full Fwd on its own. Yep, I checked the pedal return spring and is not broken. Any other ideas? Could this be a...
