4.0 inch to 5.25 speaker upgrade LS/New Holland cab

@Wibb did you use these adapters to simply space the speaker down away from the headliner? Or did you mount the spacer to the 4" speaker mounting holes, then mount the speaker to the wooden adapter?

Bobcat Versahandler V723 No Forward / Reverse after hydraulic fluid change

Oddly, the service manual doesn't mention anything about priming... Here is a pic of my pump arrangement. It looks like a larger pump attached to the bell housing, and possibly a smaller pump attached further out. The large hydraulic lines to the transaxle are attached to the end of the...

Bobcat Versahandler V723 No Forward / Reverse after hydraulic fluid change

It was time for a fluid change on my V723. No problem right? Drained the tank, pulled and replaced the filter, refilled with new fluid. Afterwards, the boom functions and steering all work as expected, but it will not drive forward or reverse. Doesn't even attempt to move. It was driving...

2015 John Deere Ztrak Z950R PTO Will Not Engage

Found where the electricity was leaking out ;). Had a burned connector where the sub-harness connected to the clutch. Pulled the clutch and measured the resistance on the connector pins directly rather than through the sub-harness and the resistance was 2.0. I replaced the PTO clutch...

2015 John Deere Ztrak Z950R PTO Will Not Engage

I have a troublesome Z950R that the PTO will not engage. The code flashed when attempting to engage is 5-6. The problem was originally intermittent and only when warm. Letting the mower sit overnight or for several hours generally resolved the issue for a while. I assumed the pull type...

John Deere 345 PTO Deck Blades Will Not Engage

I was actually working with this again this afternoon and found that the RIO switch was engaged even when the forward/reverse pedals were in the neutral positions. Lifting up on the reverse pedal a bit disengaged the RIO switch and I could engage the PTO. I adjusted the switch back slightly and...

John Deere 345 PTO Deck Blades Will Not Engage

I have what I believe is a second generation 345, serial 70736. It's new to me. It starts and runs fine but the PTO will not engage. I have the PTO clutch connector disconnected and am not getting power to the blue wire at the PTO connector when I engage the switch. Before engaging, I do...

John Deere 6400 PowerQuad Early Torsional Damper Removal

Thanks K5, but that is the flywheel which is still bolted to the crankshaft, behind the damper/absorber/driveshaft I'm trying to remove.

John Deere 6400 PowerQuad Early Torsional Damper Removal

Looks that way, but I assure you I am prying on #1 against the flywheel. #4 is in a recess on the flywheel. #1 has a big rubber cushion that has a lot of flex, so it probably doesn't really apply that much force. I tried a slide hammer bolted to the trans side of the flywheel with no success...

John Deere 6400 PowerQuad Early Torsional Damper Removal

As do I. I'm prying on #1 since it's the only thing I have access to pry on. I believe 1, 4, & 5 should come off the flywheel as an assembly, then be able to be separated by removing the #3 bolts. The whole assembly should nearly fall of with the bolts removed, but that just isn't my luck on...

John Deere 6400 PowerQuad Early Torsional Damper Removal

On a JD 6400 PowerQuad with the early style torsional damper and driveshaft... Anyone have any tricks to removing it? I can't seem to get it to budge. The service manual simple says to remove remove the 4 bolts at the input shaft flange, and 6 bolts on the torsional damper, then remove. Isn't...

Ok, thanks. I'll have to get it scheduled for a visit.

John Deere 6200 No Start, No crank

I haven't formed an opinion on this tractor yet. Not sure how it is on fuel, but I suspected it would only sip it. I just bought it in January. It was advertised with 'transmission issues - stuck in gear'. I ended up way deeper into the transmission than I had hoped. It required some new...

John Deere 6200 No Start, No crank

Ok, I tried the override and I can raise and lower the hitch. This is an open station tractor with a basic dash, so I don't think I have any way to check trouble codes.

John Deere 6200 No Start, No crank

@Zebrafive, thank you so much! If I could give some extra stripes, I would! Diode V105 was in fact dead. I replaced it with a good diode and PTO now engages with the relay and fuses back in place. I think the only thing that isn't working now is there is not action in the 3pt arms. I don't...

John Deere 6200 No Start, No crank

@Zebrafive, thanks for this great info! Very helpful! I find that fuse F116 is hot all the time, as is terminal 30 of relay K101. Terminal 86 of K101 gets power when I switch the key on, however terminal 87 doesn't appear to be getting power. Manually testing the relay, it tests fine. If I...

John Deere 6200 No Start, No crank

Thanks. I have the tractor starting fine now with the key. That issue was a broken ground at the battery. Now I'm trying to diagnose the PTO which does not engage. Switch tests good. I have no power at F119 which appears to the be the fuse for the rear PTO. Need to know how power is...

John Deere 6200 No Start, No crank

I got the starting issue figured out. There was a broken ground at the battery negative terminal. The smaller black wire group. One of these must feed the negative side of the starter relay. Now on to diagnosing the PTO and getting it working. Anyone familiar with that circuit?

John Deere 6200 No Start, No crank

Yes there is. And I'm not sure how I was overlooking it - It's bolted onto the end of the starter itself. I removed it and tested it at lunch time today. When I apply power and ground to the trigger posts, the relay activates as it should. Interestingly, when it's on the the tractor and the...

John Deere 6200 No Start, No crank

For the syncroplus, the neutral safety switch is located in the center of the shift cover on the right side of the gear transmission. You can access it from underneath the tractor, or from above if you remove the platform plates. It's a two wire connecter, and is the only electrical connector...

John Deere 6200 No Start, No crank

6400 hours, SyncroPlus. Reverse is just another gear selection on the Syncro gear trans, so no reverser. I did install and properly adjust a new neutral safety switch. However I have that disconnected and jumpered for easier testing at this time. The multimeter confirms voltage to the...

John Deere 6200 No Start, No crank

No it's not. But since you mentioned it, the PTO doesn't work either on this tractor.

John Deere 6200 No Start, No crank

Is anyone here familiar with the the starting circuit on a JD 6200? I have one that will not crank with the key, but will crank fine if I jumper 12 volts to the trigger wire at the starter solenoid. The neutral safety switch tests good. The ignition switch was pretty corroded on the back, so...

Newbie here with a busted John Deere

Greetings all! I'm in the process of working on a 2305 that was overheated and found this site while searching for information. Looks like a great place to be, and it seems I have some searching and reading to do.
