Rotary Cutter Agri Supply GR-1 Slip Clutch Adjustment

I downloaded this from a link to a TBN thread. It gives the adjustment for the horsepower for 20 - 50 HP tractors.

Any slip clutch for a 15hp. tractor?

I went to my local dealer today and was told I probably wouldn't find a slip clutch for my 48" brush hog. My tractor is a Kubota B6200 @ 15HP/12.5 PTO HP. I bought a few grade 2 shear bolts and the PTO has an overrun clutch. If I can't find one would another overrun work on the 'hog end? I'm...

    Bush Hog mod question

My "helper" and I laid on two coats of red over primer yesterday. Today I made a weather proof cover for the access hole. I also gilded the lilly a tad. Just have to reassemble it, put on the safety stickers and we're good to go. I'm going back to welding class next month and I want to...

    Bush Hog mod question

My boom pole paid for itself again today. I lowered the 'hog with it then found the balance point with chain and lifted it up then laid three skids on blocks under it and let'er down. I love that thing!! With this weeks forecast I might get this finished by the weekend.

    Bush Hog mod question

You're right it was neglected by the previous owners. For instance the tail boom was chock full of decomposed hickory nuts as was the stump jump pan. Freakin' squirrels can wreak havoc with equipment. When I rebuilt the front of the tractor last fall I removed a mouse nest the size of a...

    Bush Hog mod question

Is there any downside to drilling a couple of drain holes in the pan of my Bush Hog SQ48? When I took it apart because the blades were rusted to the pan the top of the pan was full of crud and of course rust. Anyone try this? I was also thinking of fab'ing a cover plate for the blade access hole...

    Ag Tires versus Industrial tires

I just put new tires on my B6200. I'm in the woods a lot and back field so I went with bar lugs on the rear and R4s on the front. I grooved them for extra traction.

    TODAYS SEAT TIME

Four hours of seat time in the woods today grooming around a campsite we made earlier this month. I cleared a spot for the camper too. I pushed a whole lot of stuff over the bank today. I'm really loving the new suitcase weights I put on. They make the tractor feel more balanced with an...

    TODAYS SEAT TIME

I hooked the rake up and went up the road a bit where my son and his wife bought 12 acres. It's bordered by the Kline Kill on two sides and really nice piece of land with a wonderful tall canopy. I raked out an area for a camp site and fire pit with access paths. Only took a couple of hours...

Cub 1440 smoking under load - new issue.

Hi - I just serviced my 1440 with Vanguard 14hp. V-twin last week - fresh oil, all filters and plugs. I was cutting the back field today and with the PTO engaged and pushing it up hill it started blowing a cloud of white smoke. I shut it down and checked for leaks then started it up and it ran...

    PID controlled smokers

I use a PID for sous vide cooking. It controls the water temp for either a pot on a hot plate, or my old school crock pot. I use it quite a bit it's great for proteins, eggs and veg. Best steaks and chops I've cooked yet. Here I'm making chicken "bone broth" in my slow cooker - 195f for...

    Question about B2620 suitcase weights...

Even if the holes are offset and you have a drill press you can modify it to fit. I did this L series bracket to my B6200.

For snow chained turfs on rear and studded R4's on front?

I'm going to be moving snow with my Kubota B6200HSTD this winter with a back blade. I have turfs all around and while I'll chain the rears I have an option to put R4's (same size as my front turfs) on. The circumference ratio will be the same and I can stud the R4's if needed. Any drawback to...
