FYI: Axle seal leak cause.....INFO from mechanic "Good or bad?"

Just got my tractor back today after having both front axle seals replaced. I talked to the mechanic that did the job and he said the number one cause of seals leaking is breather caps stopping up (On my J2020 it''s the cap on the right side of the axle). He said when the hydraulic fluid...

Rust-Oleum Professional Safety Blue 7524. I got it at Lowe's. To my eyes it looks like an exact match. Attached is a pic of my reinforced FEL doglegs that were painted with the paint.

    Front axle (4WD) leaking.....help

Both left and right front axle seals are leaking (the right much worse than the left). Tractor is 4 years old but only 140 hours on it (new to me). Is this common? Seems to me that 140 hours is a short life. How often do you have to fix these seals. Or even Do you fix them or just keep...

    Loader  Reinforced loader doglegs

One of the doglegs on my loader was bent. Don't know if I did it or the guy I bought the tractor from did it. If I did it, then they must be made of balsa wood because I haven't done anything really hard with my tractor since I have owned it ......three weeks, maybe. In any case I did not...

Put Synthetic Hydraulic fluid in today....Impressions

My LS J2020H is four years old but only has 140 hours on it. Today I replaced the factory hydraulic oil with AMSOIL Synthetic Tractor Hydraulic/Transmission Oil. The stuff that came out of the tractor looked like mud but not as thick. It was a challenge to get my tractor up high enough to...

    Hydraulic pump Output question ....help

I know the output of the hydraulic pump increases with engine RPM ......the manual says that if the loader moves slow to increase engine RPM (Assuming a warm tractor). Loader  Loader 'dogleg' bending .....still an issue??

Some time back there was a thread about the 'dogleg' on the LS loaders being weak and bending. I just noticed that my inside right dogleg is definitely bent. Are you guys still experiencing this problem? Did any of you reinforce the doglegs (the approach I'm going to take)? I have only...

No top end RPMs or power when load applied....problem solved

I mentioned in my intro to the group that my tractor was not running well. (Ran fine for about 15 minutes, then bogged down under load and would not recover; would not pull any rpm's and idle would shake violently. Did not notice excess smoke of any color. It quickly got to the point that it...

Backhoe  Need opinions on adding 3-point hitch backhoe

I know this subject has been kicked around until the horse is dead.......and I have read all I can find. I would very much like the opinions of the 'wiser heads' on this forum. I've got the J2020H and I want a backhoe on it. Factory LS hoe was quoted as $6900. There are several aftermarket...
