Glrret, after seeing your failure, I decided to look at mine (the bearings were do for lubricanting anyway). My set screws were tight but the belt already has cracks in it. I have about 10 - 14 hrs on mine. Needless to say, I just order a spare belt. Did your old pulley look like this?

Hum, you may want to get one of these. My new flail came with a slip clutch pto shaft. I figured it was to save the gear box from a improper high speed pto engagement but it may also save the belts in a bog down situation.

Yep, I bought the last non hydraulic shift one they had but no one has posted any videos. The one I got is their updated (new) model. The new models have welded boxes and new triple blades. So far I'm very happy with it and the way it cuts. It looks heavy duty but time will tell.
