    Mini-Ex Some controls/tracks/blade not working

I'm going to check all solenoids first, then go from there. It is a dual pump, with a 3rd pilot pump on the back.

    Mini-Ex Some controls/tracks/blade not working

So I bought a Gehl 602 (Mustang 6002) excavator at auction with known hydraulic problems. I was under the impression that all hydraulics weren't working, and assumed I needed to replace the pump. That was not the case. So upon firing the machine, I can: -Boom up -Curl bucket in/out -House...

Finally Replaced My Awful Branson Seat

Well, after a year and a half debating and researching, I finally pulled the trigger on a Milsco V5300 seat for my 2005 Branson 4720. So far I have barely used it, but seems a lot more comfortable. Cant wait to take it back up to my property for some field work, that will be the true test. Ill...

Painting my 4720 (have paint code)

Well, the powdercoating on my 2005 4720 is flat toast and looks awful. So after failing to come up with any official paint code, I took the pan from under my seat (had it removed to replace my rockshaft piston seal) and took it in to match up. The color they came up with is "Traffic Red 912...

    3-pt bouncing/bleeding

Got it done, wasn't too bad. Just like Dave mentioned. Took everything apart to access the top of the rock shaft, the cover you need to take off is the one with the 3pt valve attached to it between your legs. The seal Dave mentioned was of course obliterated. So once the cover is off, just...

"Oil" cap on front gear case???

Morning folks. Just serviced the tractor and in doing so remembered the box on the front of the gear case with the plug marked "Oil"; what is this for? When I open it, I don't see oil, there is no dipstick, I just see the gears. Nothing in the manual says anything about it. I always assumed it...

Any Branson owners from Ash Fork, AZ?

My dad and my brother bought some property out in Ash Fork, so we all came out to enjoy a weekend on the property. Sure enough, we pull in and I look over and see a fellow Branson owner with a 3510. Is that any of you guys on here?

    My 2005 Branson 4720 update

Well, some may remember me purchasing a used 2005 Branson 4720, with the 8620 backhoe. Upon delivery I had some issues with what I was told from the dealer, etc. This was back in April. I fixed a bit of odds and ends, especially with the hoe, put new tires on it, etc. Been going through...

Building My Home - 9 Acres In Anza, CA

Building the gate Been thinking about building my gate for a few weeks now, and its time. So spent some time 3D modeling the gate I wish to build. Keeping it simple but I think it will look great. Other than that, just been trenching water and prepping for the house remodel. More pics and info...

Loader Converting to skid steer attach on 20 series

I had prematurely ordered a set of global/euro forks before my tractor was delivered, not knowing that the Branson quick attach was proprietary. I created a template and had these waterjetted. Came out great. I then cut off the brackets on the fork carriage I had, and welded these on.

    backhoe for utility tractors

As noted above, once you have the backhoe, you will find many many projects for it that you either wouldn't have done before, or couldn't do. They are extremely handy tools. While we had mine at my girlfriends, a root had busted her sewer line, so I was able to quickly and easily dig up her...

    XR3135, the T-rex of tractors??

Man, those do look kind of ridiculous, haha. My tractor needed new front tires, so I just went ahead and installed the larger set of tires that Branson had as options, much happier now.

    backhoe for utility tractors

The backyard at her place has a gnarly slope, so we are constructing a retaining wall at her house. This is starting the side yard, don't have the good pics of the finished product on this computer, but it turned out good.

    backhoe for utility tractors

The backhoe was the one attachment I knew I wanted/needed, and figured if I didn't buy it with the tractor, Id never shell the money out later. I am very glad I bought it, use it all the time, and I have a LOT more work to go. I am building my property now, 9 acres, and will be doing a lot of...

Biggest disc a MX5100 can handle

Since its not 3pt, I don't think youll have the weight to pull that size of disc. Discs require lots of horsepower and lots of weight. If it does pull it, I don't think its going to like it very much. On 2nd pass my old school 6' discs will cause me to loose traction now and again, but HP...

Tell me how to load my tractor and skid steer on the trailer correctly

You want a hair more weight on the tongue of the trailer, forward of the axle. Like they said, should squat the truck a bit. For me, this is how I load mine:

Trailer got stolen, so decided to build one

Buying used (250/2500), what to avoid (engine/trans known issues)

Def stay away from 6.0 Fords. You don't need those kinds of problems in your life. All trucks will have their own issues, but I am a Cummins guy. My 05 has 312K and counting, never an issue with the motor. Been a fantastic truck. It is always either pulling my 40ft toy hauler, or my gooseneck...

    Loader New pallet forks

I have the 42" Titan forks, been getting a lot of use out of them. 3-pt bouncing/bleeding

So this seems to be intermittent. Tried messing with the valve, but not working. Sometimes the tractor will hold the implement indefinitely, and be smooth, other times it bounces and will bleed down quickly with the tractor off. Also, Ive got an 8620 back hoe and it bleeds down constantly. Has...

    4720 Tire Help

My used 2005 4720 came with R4 OTR tires: 10-16.5 on the front, and 420/70-24 on the rear. Front tires are pretty well worn out. Manual says fronts should be 12-16.5 and rears 17.5-24. Seems my tire sizes are mismatched maybe?? From what I can tell a 17.5-24 is roughly 49" diameter, and the...
