You can heat up that magnesium casting..the oil will come out of the porosity..then bevel the edges for the patch..weld it up...it will hold. Just gotta boil out the oil in the porosity.

Cheap casting..bad mistake...buy new..or have it welded up..good luck. Live n learn!

Correct..even if you file a chain..if you don't start with the dullest link first..your wasting your time. This is why some shops remove a lot..got to get the chain back in balance..or other teeth just rub and burn.

Invest in an Oregon chain grinder..not that expensive..I have wore one out..bought a new one 3 years ago..don't fall for the clamp on filers..they are junk. Learn to use the Oregon grinder..do a good job..save you lots of money. Been grinding chains now for 42 years. No customers ever complain...

I filled all four of my Kubota b7100 with water and anti freeze..been in the tires now over 30 years..best tractor I ever used. I sold the mower deck..bought a smaller jd. For mowing..and chained up all 4 tires on b7100 added. Rear plow for winter. My tires are turf tires as well.

First off... .you gotta be smarter than a spudbar to figure out your issue.. then sit down and think about it. Some people can break an anvil with a feather.

if it were mine...I would make the screw and nut both. but use brass for the nut. not cast. and I would cut a square thread on the lathe for both. much stronger. acmes cut very hard cause of the side angles. gotta take very small cuts....sometimes cutting 3 times without advancing the depth...

replace the radiator cap. take off that front grill...dont get enough air thru them tiny holes. i made a grill for mine with hundreds of 1/4 inch holes. problem went away..even in hot summer days. i run 50 50 coolant.
