My manual, cautions about lowering a load fast on the FEL and stopping suddenly, having the potential to damage the hydraulics. That's the same kind of shock you can easily give it, when going over a bump with a very heavy load, even at low speeds. We also actually had a member years ago...

What have you done with/to your GC Series 2300, 2400, 1700 Tractor TODAY

Driving with a big load over bumps, can put stress on the hydraulic system. It's also hard on the front differential, if you are in 4wd. If it's unable to lift it, it's telling you that you are over the limit. I would divide the load, and make another trip. It could save you some headaches...

What have you done with/to your GC Series 2300, 2400, 1700 Tractor TODAY

The loader capacity is what I was referring to. At 325# looks like you can lift about 500-600 lbs., with those forks, give or take. Less, if the load is on the tips of the forks. Because it could tip. I'm wondering how useful that ends up being, in actual conditions?

    Warranty work lessons learned.

I bought a tractor from a well established local dealer, who had been in business forever. I figured, parts and service, will be easy. A few years later, they stopped selling my brand. No parts, no service, just apologies. The lesson there is, you can't count on anything. As far as the...

Only 450 hours. If fairness, I have a diesel pump, that runs the fuel through a big canister filter, making the fuel filter on the tractor purely decorative. My tractor is pretty much retired, and living the life. The oil engine oil doesn't even get dark anymore. It's changed every two...

That is the fastest, but also the crudest way to fix it. I suggest using the hot iron method to embed some stainless steel screen on the back side. This way, you can continuously reinforce the crack, and have a much stronger, and better looking repair, with only a little more effort...
