    Hydro Gear ZT-3400 Replacement

I noticed some drag/shuttering on the left side at the end of last summer while I was mowing my ditch bank. I got on level surface, checked the hydraulic oil, everything looked good, and didn't notice any more issues while mowing the flat yard. This year I changed the engine oil and drove it...

    Hydro Gear ZT-3400 Replacement

Are there any cheaper transaxles that will work in the place of the Hydro Gear ZT-3400? I have a 10-year old Gravely Pro Turn 160 that the transaxle housing and cover busted near the rod that connects the left and right together. I recently acquired more yard to mow, so will likely upgrade to...

Need Driveline for Bush Hog 2515 flex wing

So far I've only been able to identify these as potential replacements. Since I can't see any in person, I'm leaning toward the Weasler on Amazon since it would likely be the easiest to return if it isn't as described. However, drivelines are one thing I've never worked on. Potential Original...

Local dealer recommends not changing hydraulic oil in shuttle shift M9540

Anyone ever experience a dealer/servicer recommend to not change the hydraulic oil in a shuttle shift? They said they only recommend changing if it looks milky because there isn't anything wrong with it. I've been debating on sending the oil off to be analyzed, but I don't know where to send...

Need Driveline for Bush Hog 2515 flex wing

I have a Bush Hog 2515 that has a broken inner yoke and CV and need a replacement driveline for it. I tried ordering a female half shaft (tractor to male portion that connects to gearbox), but my current one is rectangular 4 spline in which everyone is saying they have never seen so it looks...

25 Acres worth buying hay equipment?

Yeah, having the tractor already is the only reason I can even consider attempting anything that won't be a guaranteed loss.

25 Acres worth buying hay equipment?

From what I gather it is less labor intensive after the initial planting, then turns out to be a long duration of waiting for profit. It's another thing that I don't have a good feel for on information provided. Some say there is no money involved other than tax advantages and some say it's...

25 Acres worth buying hay equipment?

I'm leaning this way, but since I'm building a house at the moment I figured I'd take the time to explore everything just in case something sticks out as a must/most not do.

25 Acres worth buying hay equipment?

Hey guys, haven't been on in a while as work has been getting in the way of life. I'm not really looking to get into hay, but profit which would be great is a secondary. My current situation is bushhogging it 3-5 times per year, which I estimate is 40-50 total hours and $600-$800 in diesel...

25 Acres worth buying hay equipment?

Well, I was a little vague. I don't mind using as an actual fertilizer, but know people that claim others have attempted to store some on their property while leasing. Lived around cattle pastures most of my life, so I'm good with that....just not piles lol.

25 Acres worth buying hay equipment?

Thanks, I will get some tests for sure. Should I take samples from different areas such as where there is different types of grass? It's family property that I'm buying, so familiar that a small area has Johnson (at least what I call it), bahia, and then there is a section that has some really...

25 Acres worth buying hay equipment?

Not going for looks for sure, would likely do as you said and worry more about the baler than anything because I feel like that is what I'd be least experienced at repairing. There is some cow operations around, but not an extremely high amount. Mostly older individuals, who have downsized...

25 Acres worth buying hay equipment?

This is my backup plan and something I may at least look into for a year or 2. I will need to discuss some of the finer details because I don't want anyone bringing in a bunch of manure as fertilizer. lol. I plan to run a disc through it in the spring because it is a little rough.

25 Acres worth buying hay equipment?

In the process of purchasing around 29 acres of old pasture land, which is roughly 25 acres of grass, 3/4-1 acre pond, and the remaining is smaller woods that I will likely reclaim with a mulcher or something similar. I'm not sure what I want to do with is, but it connects to our the property...

New Home and ~70 Acres of Unknown Project

I need to look into how to become ag property and the steps to become a farm. My first thought was hay for pasture, but after looking into equipment prices, I just don't see how I could pay it back with just 25 acres. I could possibly buy some older equipment, but I don't have the slightest...

New Home and ~70 Acres of Unknown Project

The land had an opening where we are building, which was shaped like a V and went the length of the property so we just started squaring it off for looks. Cost was pretty minimal since I did most of the work with rented equipment and chainsaw.

New Home and ~70 Acres of Unknown Project

Last week my aunt decided to sell the pasture that I've been trying to purchase for a few years. So, we are in the process of purchasing another ~29 acres. I am not certain what to do with the land, but wanted it since my house will be on a gravel road and this will allow me to run a driveway...

New Home and ~70 Acres of Unknown Project

New Home and ~70 Acres of Unknown Project

A few years ago I purchased 40 acres of mostly wooded family property, with the intentions of building in the future. The land remained mostly untouched, with the exception of a deer stand and food plots, until Mrs. TigerFanatic1 decided 2023 was the future. We were able to clean up about 8...

Where do you get chainsaw parts from? I have an old Stihl MS250C that I broke the pull string, while attempting to replace it I broke shaft that the spring and rotor slides on. I spoke to the our local dealer which says I have to buy the entire assembly for $170.

Bush Hog 2515 wide angle double yoke repairable?

I have a lot of movement and visible damage in the wide angle double yoke, likely from getting stuck and damaging from angle. I haven't attempted to take apart yet, because I can't find any bearings or repair kits. The wide angle double yoke looks to be part #76357.

Remote hydraulic size for 2008 M9540

I broke one of my quick connects for the remote hydraulics. I didn't want to spend close to $200 to replace so I purchased a 1/2" pioneer brand and 3/8 oring boss X 1/2" MNTP instead. When it came in, the 3/8" is too small and 1/2" is too big. Is it a 7/16" or possible metric? Thanks in advance.

Kubota UDT for front axle gear oil?

I need to change the front differential case and front axle gear oils, the manual says Kubota UDT, Super UDT, or SAE 80-90 gear oil may be used. Anyone have any experience or recommendations on this? The Kubota UDT (equivalent) feels like a lighter oil to me. I'm sure UDT is fine if it's on...
