Welding Hooks to a front end loader

This hasn't been mentioned in the thread that I have seen. Mounting them inside the bucket will save you if your cable/rope/chain snaps and comes sailing over the top of the bucket at your head. Paul and Kathy Short of Speciality Repairs on YouTube have an excellent video on this. Good luck...

Do you take it to the dealer for maintenance or do it yourself.

I suppose it all depends on time, your willingness to learn. and how good is your dealer? If you have the time and the tools, the manuals and YouTube you could do all the basic maintenance on most tractors. You can also get the Workshop Service and Repair Manuals on cd on Amazon. That should...

Alternative to EA 55 Inch Wicked Root Rake Grapple ?

I haven't read all the responses so forgive me if this has already been suggested. HLA attachments here in Canada make excellent Grapples. I recently bought one for my L3901. I don't know if they ship to the US but with the exchange rate on the dollar, shipping might not be an issue. As to...

    Too Much Hydraulic Oil?

Thank you, I'll do that. Kevan Thanks to you and all the others that responded. I knew my little BX so well that just by the sound of it I could tell if all was well. This L3901 is a whole new experience for me so your advice and the others who have responded are most welcome. Thanks again!

    Too Much Hydraulic Oil?

Thank you for your answer. This tractor is entirely new to me. I have had smaller ones but this is new territory for me. It helps to have folks like you to consult and learn what to worry about and what not. Manuals are great but experience comes from errors such as I made. I'll heed your...

    Too Much Hydraulic Oil?

Hello out there! I have a hydraulic problem of my own making. I suffered a hydraulic leak from my Kubota L3901 caused by a poor connection to a grapple. I lost a fair amount of oil. I did my best to refill carefully but ended up with about a 1/4 inch of oil over the max fill mark on the...

Like SylvainG I, too, forgot to do the introduction.

So, I'm a retired guy who bought a piece of property that used to be a quarry and fronts onto the Ottawa River. I began haunting this site over three years ago w/o making my introduction, for which I apologize. I look forward to mining the vast store of knowledge on the site (some of which I...

    New Member

Hello all I'm a new member as this would suggest. I'm entirely new to tractor ownership. Last tractor that I was on was in the 1950's with my Grandfather. Being 68 now I have a rather steep learning curve ahead of me. I am about to take delivery of a Kubota BX 25 D-1 that I intend to use...
